The seating element has a first panel-pivot element, and the screen-support element has a second panel-pivot element which is engagable with the first panel-pivot element. When interengaged, the first and second panel-pivot elements are rotatable relative to each other about a panel-pivot axis P which is parallel to a base of the seating element. This enables an installer to semi-erect a shower-screen panel with a lower edge watertightly sealed, and leave it unattended and self-supported whilst attending to other panels.

The hinge assembly further comprises a second hinge member having a second body portion for attachment to the second panel such that the hinge axis lies outside a footprint of the second panel, and a second neck portion arranged to be rotatably connected to the first neck portion to allow the rotation.

SHOWER DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY

A hinge assembly includes a first hinged body, a pivot pin assembly, and a second hinged body. The first hinged body includes a channel. The pivot pin assembly includes a pin body configured to slideably engage the channel. The pivot pin assembly may be translated within the channel and adjustably secured along the channel. The pin body includes a downwardly extending pin. The second hinged body comprises a pin aperture configured to cooperatively receive the pin. The first hinged body and the second hinged body are configured to hingedly pivot along a hinge axis defined by the pin when the pin is received in the pin aperture. The pin body may include a pin body aperture configured to receive an alignment fastener such that the pin body may be tilt adjusted relative to the first hinged body.

The front hinge strip path extends from the front portion of the curved outer surface of the door adapter to the rear portion of the curved inner surface of the frame adapter. The rear hinge strip path extends from the rear portion of the curved outer surface of the door adapter to the front portion of the curved inner surface of the frame adapter. The door panels are movable between a front open position, a closed position and a rear open position.
