Building aperture cover with VIG unit connected to fixation profile

The present disclosure relates to an aperture covering, such as a building aperture covering. The aperture covering comprises a VIG unit 3 and a frame. The frame (2) comprises elongated fixation profiles (6) each of which are fixed to and arranged parallel to an elongated structural frame member (8). The fixation profile (6) comprises a fixation wall (6a) which extends opposite to an exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) and is fixed to the exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) by means of a bonding seal (9). The fixation profile (6) comprises a connection member (6b) extending from the fixation wall (6a), wherein the connection member (6b) is fixed to the elongated, structural frame member (8). The elongated structural member (8) faces the opposite interior major surface (S2) of the vacuum insulated glass unit (3) placed opposite to the exterior major surface (S1) of the vacuum insulated glass unit.

CASSETTE FRAME COMPONENTS AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION
20190330844 · 2019-10-31 ·

The present disclosure describes cassette frame assemblies and methods of installing them onto curtainwall structures. Assemblies can include a mullion and a first cassette frame coupled to a front end of the mullion via an anchoring tab. The anchoring tab can be configured to move within the first cassette frame prior to installation. An assembly can also include a second cassette frame coupled to the front end of the mullion via a second anchoring tab. A first glass panel can be fixed to the first cassette frame and a second glass panel can be fixed to the second cassette frame. Anchoring tabs can be slidable and pivotable to facilitate safe and efficient installation onto a curtainwall structure.

WATER DRAINING SPANDREL ASSEMBLY AND INSULATED PANEL WINDOW WALLS

An exterior wall assembly including an insulated panel having at least one hole; at least one spacer located between and abutting a first portion of an outside of the insulated panel and an inside of an architectural fascia panel; at least one layer of non-conducting material connected to the at least one spacer and sandwiched between a second portion of the outside of the insulated panel and the inside of the architectural fascia panel; and a first fastener having a hollow inner section inserted into the at least one hole which has threading on the inside, an outer section having threading on the outside and extending into the layer of non-conducting material; and a flange located between the inner section and outer section of the first fastener and having a greater lateral dimension than the radius of the at least one hole.

CURTAIN WALL DRAIN OPENING APPARATUS
20190309513 · 2019-10-10 ·

Curtain wall based drain opening apparatus comprises a drainage element extending outwardly from, and in fluid communication with, a concealed horizontal water flow channel associated with a stationary first frame element of an inwardly pivotable window assembly and adapted to receive infiltrated water, wherein the drainage element passes through a second frame element which is laterally spaced from two adjacent fixed panels of a curtain wall and is exposed to atmospheric air.

Panel frame assembly, processing, transport, and installation system

A panel support and panel processing system that provides a single frame assembly for use on a panel processing line in transporting and installing panels, such as glass panels, the frame assembly having a frame with at least one hook that engages a carrier on a processing line to move the frame from one station to the next, and that enables lifting and stacking of multiple frames for transport to and installation at a building site without having to remove the panel, such as a glass panel, from the frame, at which point the frame and panel assembly are secured in situ.

Building facade system and related assemblies including a bypass insulating profile

A building facade system for covering a building facade including a building wall and a window opening, comprising at least one window assembly mountable to mullions provided across the window opening and a plurality of wall assemblies surrounding the at least one window assembly, each wall assembly being independently mountable onto rails extending across the building wall. The at least one window assembly is configured to reduce thermal flow between an interior environment and an exterior environment, and includes a bypass insulating profile extending from a connection insulating profile externally towards a window panel and inwardly over an exterior profile, to define an air chamber between the bypass insulating profile and an inward surface of the exterior profile.

DYNAMIC MULTI-PANE INSULATING ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEM

A dynamic multi-pane insulating assembly and system including methods for dynamically maintaining the thermal resistance value of the assembly and system. The dynamic multi-pane insulating assembly and system includes first and second gas permeable panes defining an evacuated gap in communication with a vacuum source; a first exterior pane spaced from the first gas permeable pane defining a first pressurized gap in communication with a source of pressurized gas; and a second exterior pane spaced from the second gas permeable pane defining a second pressurized gap in communication with the source of pressurized gas.

Fixed glazing
10385607 · 2019-08-20 ·

The invention relates to fixed glazing for a building, comprising at least one glass pane, for example triple glazing. According to the invention, the glass pane is directly inserted in the adjacent building structure without interposing a frame that consists of a rigid material, and/or it is inserted in the laterally adjacent insulation of the building structure.

Glass wall fin system

A window system is disclosed. The window system provides improved visibility while protecting against wind and flying debris. In some embodiments, the window panel is made using insulated safety glass for added insulation from the elements and impact protection for wind borne debris. Fins (e.g., glass fins) are affixed to a vertical edge of each window panel to provide extra resistance to wind and flying debris while providing improved visibility over window systems that have metal frames. In some embodiments, the glass fins are made from laminated glass to achieve thicknesses of between two and three inches. In some embodiments, especially when the window panel is very tall, one or more horizontal fins are affixed to the inside surface of the glass for added strength.
