VIG FRAME SOLUTION WITH FLEXIBLE PORTION

The present disclosure relates to a vacuum insulated glass (VIG) unit frame assembly (10), wherein said vacuum insulated glass unit frame assembly (1) comprises: a vacuum insulated glass unit (1), and a frame (20) comprising elongated frame profile arrangements (20a-20d, 70) which frames said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) in a frame opening (21). The frame further comprises: —holding parts (6) for fixating said vacuum insulated glass unit (1), and—flexible connection arrangements (7) connecting the holding parts (6) to elongated frame profile arrangements (20a-20d). The flexible connection arrangements (7) are configured to flex when said vacuum insulated glass unit (1) exerts a bending moment (M) on the holding parts (6), so that said holding parts (6) will move relative to the elongated frame profile arrangements (20a-20d, 70) to which the individual holding part (6) is connected. The present disclosure moreover relates to a vacuum insulated glass unit and a frame.

FENESTRATION ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING COMPOSITE FRAME CORES AND METHODS FOR SAME

A fenestration assembly includes a glazing unit includes a pane spacer between exterior and interior panes proximate glazing unit edges. A fenestration frame is coupled around the glazing unit and includes a frame core extending around the glazing unit. The frame core includes a unitary core wall including a composite material that is hollow and extends continuously from a core interior face to a core exterior face. A metal glazing cap is coupled with the frame core. The metal glazing cap having a cap end indirectly engaged with the glazing unit along the interior pane, and the cap end is remote from the pane spacer. Each of the core exterior face, the pane spacer and the metal glazing cap are thermally isolated from each other with the frame core including the unitary core wall.

Glass fastening and sealing systems

A glass sealing system includes a glass portion and a first adhesive layer disposed along an exterior surface of the glass portion. The glass sealing system also includes a cover with a first surface secured to the first adhesive layer and a second surface opposing the first surface. The glass sealing system includes a second adhesive layer disposed on the second surface and configured to secure the cover to a support structure. The cover obscures the second adhesive layer from view of a user looking through the glass portion toward the support structure.

Connecting device

The present disclosure relates to a connecting device, which includes a clamping mechanism, a transverse arm mechanism, a main arm member and a connecting mechanism that are sequentially connected. The clamping mechanism includes a clamping block and a fixing member. The transverse arm mechanism includes a mounting base, a positioning member and a fastening member. The fixing member connects the clamping block and the mounting base. The positioning member is connected to one end of the mounting base away from the clamping mechanism. The fastening member connects the positioning member and the mounting base. The main arm member extends through the mounting base. The connecting mechanism is provided with a connecting rod connected to the main arm member.

WINDOW ASSEMBLY

A polymer window assembly includes a polymer window frame with a pair of jambs and a sill, and a glass unit carried by the window frame. A pair of brackets are attached to the jambs proximate corners between the jambs and the sill. Each bracket has an upright member, a horizontal member orthogonal to the upright member and a hook attached to a rear surface of the upright member. The brackets attach to the jambs so that the hook extends through a hole in the jamb, the upright member is adjacent a surface of the jamb and the horizontal member is disposed above (e.g., spaced above) the sill. The brackets support and transfer the weight of the glass unit to the jambs to inhibit (e.g., prevent) the sill from bearing the load of the glass unit, thereby inhibiting (e.g., preventing) the crushing or bowing of the sill by the glass unit and thereby inhibiting (e.g., preventing) the formation of gaps in the window assembly that allow for air and/or water infiltration through the window assembly.

In one aspect, the present invention relates to a structural assembly including a first frame member hingedly coupled to a second frame member. A support member extends outwardly from the first frame member. At least one glazing panel is disposed above the support member. A thermal clip is coupled to the support member. The thermal clip insulates the support member from a building exterior. The support member extends less than an entire length thereof and reduces loss of thermal energy from a building interior to the building exterior via the support member.
