The at least one contoured portion includes a substantially V-shaped indent area adjacent to and within the outer body portion, a planar area that is substantially parallel to the outer body portion and is adjacent to and within the substantially V-shaped indent area, and a declining area adjacent to and within the planar area and terminating at the inner panel.
Doors containing core inserts, and method of making the same
A method of making a door involves providing a first door facing including a first raised region and a first panel recessed from the first raised region by a first dimension, and securing a first core insert having a thickness equal to the first dimension to the first raised region. A second door facing including a second raised region and a second panel recessed from the second raised region by a second dimension is provided. A second core insert having a thickness equal to the second dimension is secured to the second raised region. A central core component is secured to the first panel and the first core insert after the first core insert has been secured to the first raised region. The second panel and the second core insert are secured to the central core component after the second core insert has been secured to the second raised region.
Refrigerator
A refrigerator including: a main body forming a storage compartment and a door provided to open and close the storage compartment, wherein the door includes a door frame, a cover arranged in front of the door frame and including a cover fixer, and a door panel arranged in front of the cover, the door panel including a first fixer and a second fixer on a rear surface of the door panel. When the door panel is coupled to a front side of the cover, the first fixer is coupled to the door frame and the second fixer is coupled to the cover.
Exterior door and methods for forming exterior doors
A door assembly can include a core layer, a backing layer, and a façade layer. The core layer can define a façade side and a back side opposite the façade side. The core layer can include a rail and a plurality of stiles coupled to the rail. The backing layer can be adhered to the back side of the core layer. The façade layer can be adhered to the façade side of the core layer. The façade layer can include a plurality of frame segments defining an outer surface comprised of polymer and the plurality of frame segments defining a mating surface adhered to the façade side of the core layer.
Door stile and doorway jamb system and method
A stile system to support a door or other types of panels is provided. The doors and/or panels may include frameless glass panes. The stile system may include a longitudinal channel into which the side of the door may be received and secured. The system may include a clamping assembly that may provide clamping forces onto the opposing lateral surfaces of the door within the longitudinal channel to secure it therein. The clamping assembly may be controlled by a controlling assembly in combination with the housing to provide inward forces to the clamping members to secure the panel. The stile system also includes a unitizing gasket configured to hold the elements of the clamping assembly in place during the system's assembly and use.
SHOCK INSULATING DOOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
A door system includes a door having a frame forming at least a portion of a perimeter of the door and a sleeve configured to encase at least a portion of the frame. The frame is constructed from a first material and the sleeve is constructed from a different second material. The first material may be electrically conductive and the second material may be electrically insulating. Alternatively or additionally, the first material may be susceptible to wear and tear and the sleeve may be resilient and replaceable.
MOLDED DOOR FACING BLANK AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME
The present invention is directed to a door facing blank having a first major surface with a design element formed therein, and an opposite second major surface. At least three longitudinally extending spaced stile receiving areas are disposed on the second major surface. Two of the stile receiving areas define a first width, and three of the stile receiving areas define a second width greater than the first width. The door facing blank may be trimmed to form a door facing having a selected width. A method of forming a door facing blank, and a mold press for forming a door facing blank are also disclosed.
STACKABLE MOLDED ARTICLES, AND RELATED ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS
Molded articles are provided. An exemplary molded article includes an inner panel portion, a main body portion, and a contoured portion extending between and interconnecting the inner panel portion and the main body portion so as to surround the inner panel portion and be surrounded by the main body portion. The contoured portion includes contoured corner segments and contoured elongated segments extending between respective pairs of the contoured corner segments. The contoured corner segments have a first maximum thickness. The contoured elongated segments have a second maximum thickness that is greater than the first maximum thickness. Related methods, assemblies, and apparatus are also provided.
