Garage Door Window
This invention is directed toward a window for a garage door panel, where the window has an interior frame and an exterior frame. Both the interior and exterior frame have straight members that are secured to each other through the parts of the garage door that surround the opening with screws and screw receptacles. Connecting the frame members are corner braces, than come in a variety of designs, with some being invisible after installation and others forming a decorative corner to the window.
Electrical connection device and lighting system for a sectional door
An electrical connection device connects to a sectional door, the sectional door having a plurality of connected panels which roll along left and right tracks which are connected to a structure, the sectional door is positionable to a closed position and to an open position. The electrical connection device includes a slide which carries a reciprocating electric contactor. A housing has a slot, a proximal end and an opposite distal end. The slide slides along the slot in the housing. A spring in the housing biases the slide toward the distal end of the housing. The housing is connectable to either the left track or to the right track of the sectional door.
ROTARY FASTENER FOR SECURING A FENESTRATION PANEL
A fastener system for securing a panel to a frame comprises one or more rotating fasteners installed in the perimeter edge of the panel. In operation, one or more cam surfaces of the fastener engage receiving surfaces of a receiver on the frame such that, upon rotation of each fastener, the panel is drawn toward the frame. In some embodiments, the panel is moved in a first direction parallel to the panel and a second direction perpendicular to the panel or in a composite diagonal direction inclined relative to the panel. The fastener system may facilitate compression of seals disposed along the perimeter edge of the panel and between a side of the panel and rabbet ledge of the frame and may further facilitate removal and maintenance of the panel.
Vehicle Protection System
The present invention includes a system for protect a vehicle from damage. Specifically, a non-marking protector is attached to a garage door arm to prevent damage that may occur when the rear lift hatch of a vehicle is opened and makes contact with the garage door arm. The rear lift hatch will contact one or more non-marking protectors instead, thereby ensuring no damage is caused.
Protective garage door cover
The protective garage door cover comprises a composite textile, a plurality of fasteners, and a garage door. The garage door further comprises a plurality of door panels. The plurality of fasteners attach the composite textile to the garage door. The protective garage door cover forms a protective cover over the garage door. The protective garage door forms an insulating structure that insulates the garage door. The composite textile is a flexible structure such that the composite textile will bend with the garage door as the garage door is opened and closed.
Splice assembly
A frame assembly supporting an overhead door has a horizontal header connected to upright columns or posts with splice assemblies. Fasteners mounted on the columns cooperate with retainers on the splice assemblies to position and connect the columns to the header. Hinge assemblies pivotally mount the door on the header for movement between open and closed positions.
Magnetic smart seal for overhead garage door
A garage door has panels pivotally interconnected and spanning horizontally across a door opening defined by a door frame. The panels have rollers that are movably engaged with tracks extending along lateral sides of the door frame. A motorized opener is coupled with the garage door and is configured to move the garage door along the tracks between an open position and a closed position. The motorized opener has a controller for controlling movement of the garage door. Electro-permanent magnets are disposed adjacent the lateral sides of the door frame. The magnets are configured to magnetically engage the garage door in the closed position and to release the magnetic engagement with the garage door in response to a signal from the controller.
FRAME ASSEMBLY SPLICE METHOD AND APPARATUS
A frame assembly supporting an overhead door has a horizontal header connected to upright columns or posts with splice assemblies. Fasteners mounted on the columns cooperate with retainers on the splice assemblies to position and connect the columns to the header. Hinge assemblies pivotally mount the door on the header for movement between open and closed positions.
GARAGE DOOR WITH OPERABLE ROTATING AND RETRACTABLE PANELS
A garage door apparatus includes at least one panel integral to the garage door structure. This panel is rotatably operable with respect to the surrounding garage door structure, such that as the panel is rotated it presents an opening in the garage door structure. This rotably operable panel is also selectively retractable into the garage door structure such that a substantially unobstructed opening may be left in the garage door structure.
Vertical door system with ball screw drive
A vertical door system includes: a door having a door frame, the door frame having at least one frame section; an operator; two vertical supports configured to: (a) be installable on opposite sides of the door opening and (b) support the vertical door, at least one of the vertical supports having: a guide track on a surface of the vertical support facing toward the door opening; and a drive system having: an elongated threaded rod drivable by the operator via a gearing arranged between the operator and the threaded rod; and one or more blocks, each block comprising a guide track connecting portion that connects to a guide track so the connected block is freely movable along the guide track, each block having a through-bore for accepting the threaded rod so that the block is positioned on the threaded rod and is movable along the threaded rod.
