Automatic Door with a Hinged Swinging Partial Door
A door assembly may include a first sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a first door jamb, a second sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a second door jamb where the first and second sidelites are disposed in a common plane and define a door opening between the first and second sidelites, a first sliding panel, a second sliding panel where the first and second sliding panels are movable from a closed position disposing the first and second sliding panels to block access through the door opening and an open position in which the first sliding panel is proximate the first sidelite and the second sliding panel is proximate the second sidelite, a first partial door panel, and a second partial door panel. The first and second sliding panels are disposed in a second plane parallel to the common plane in both the open and closed position. The first and second partial door panels are operably coupled to the first and second sidelites, respectively, via hinge assemblies. The first and second partial door panels have a closed state in which the first and second partial door panels are each disposed in the common plane blocking access through the door opening, and an open state in which the first and second partial door panels are each disposed out of the common plane.

Pet Door
A pet door is described herein comprising a motor for locking and unlocking a pet flap of a pet door, wherein the pet flap is rotatably attached to an upper portion of the pet door. The pet door includes a first motion detector for monitoring movement in a first detection region and a second motion detector for monitoring movement in a second detection region, wherein the pet flap of the pet door occupies a plane separating the first detection region from the second detection region when the pet flap is in a locked position. One or more applications running on at least one processor of the pet door are configured to receive a first motion signal from the first motion detector indicating movement of a pet in the first detection region, the receiving the first motion signal including activating an access sequence controlling ingress or egress of a pet.

Pet door apparatus
A pet door apparatus (10) discloses a pet door frame (12), an opening (34), and closure flap (36) which is rotatable for at least partly closing the opening or extending away from the opening. A magnet (102) and magnetically attractable element are respectively on one or the other of the flap and frame, and an actuator can move the magnet or magnetically attractable element to change the distance, and magnetic attraction force, between them. A blocking member (176) attached to a side part (28) of the frame is movable under gravitational force and due to engaging cam surfaces (196, 198), from an extended, raised position for partially closing a gap (160) between the flap and frame, to a retracted, lowered position, and back to the raised, extended position by magnetic attraction between a magnet (164) on the flap and another magnet (190) on the frame.
