INVISIBLE BURGLAR BARS
20180347266 · 2018-12-06 ·

A security system and method for preventing unwanted passage through windows and doors of a building includes custom sizing and welding of hardened steel structures that mount into the door jam or window frame, on the inside of the door or window with the use of threaded fasteners. The custom assembled structure consists of an outer frame and horizontal and vertical pickets that may be formed of flat stock, hollow square or rectangular steel tubing or solid square hardened steel bars. The system and method involves specifically spacing the vertical and horizontal pickets so as to lineup with an ornamental structure on the window or door (e.g., grids) without obstructing the view of the door or window so that the steel bars of the security structure is essentially invisible.

Assembly, kit and method for securing a covering to an air intake face
10040149 · 2018-08-07 · ·

An assembly for installing a covering over an air intake opening in engagement with a surrounding perimeter extending face. A plurality of elongated supports attached to the perimeter extending face at locations around the intake opening, each of the supports exhibiting a forwardly projecting support surface within which is configured a slot. A plurality of fasteners install through an accessible end location of each support such that a base of each fastener is retained within and traversable along an interior channel defined in said support, a projecting portion of each fastener extending from said base and through said slot. A rigid mesh exhibits a generally rectangular outline which generally matches the arrangement of the elongated supports, an aperture pattern defined in the mesh permitting the projecting portions of the fasteners to extend through the mesh to retain the mesh over the forwardly projecting support surfaces. The covering has a flexible material with perimeter defined apertures for receiving the projecting fastener portions to affix the material against an exterior surface of the mesh in engagement with the perimeter extending supports and to extend over the intake opening.

An assembly, kit and method for installing a covering over an air intake opening in engagement with a surrounding perimeter extending face. A plurality of fasteners are provided which can be directly secured to an air intake face, such by utilizing either of magnets or adhesives. These include each of twist and toggle lock fasteners in which a magnet or adhesive is incorporated into a base of the fastener. A further fastener variant incorporates a rigid stem with a compressible or deflectable upper enlarged head which can be resistive fitted during insertion through a grommet aperture in the filter screen outer perimeter and, once passing through the grommet, subsequently re-expanding to hold the screen in place.

Double door gate apparatus

A double door gate apparatus having a frame, a main gate and a secondary gate, where the apparatus includes the unique features of a) a latch apparatus between uppermost framework members of the main gate and secondary gate, b) the latch apparatus being weighted to return to a normally closed position, c) each of the main gate and secondary gates having an inverted U-shaped piece engaging the bottommost horizontal member such that each of the main and secondary gates need to be lifted prior to being opened and prior to being closed, and d) a pair of hand wheels on a common shaft that work together to space the double door gate apparatus a desired distance from a vertical surface such as a wall.

An aircraft cargo door shield releasably attachable to an aircraft cargo door and configured for protecting an aircraft cargo door during loading and unloading of cargo. The aircraft cargo door shield includes a panel configured for covering a portion of an external skin of the cargo door, and one or more fastening or attachment mechanisms configured for releasably holding the panel adjacent to the cargo door during use. The aircraft cargo door shield may include upper attachment mechanisms having elongated hooks that may engage an upper edge of the aircraft cargo door. Some or all of the attachment mechanisms may be coupled to tension members to retain the engagement of the attachment mechanisms to the aircraft cargo door during use.

Assembly, kit and method for securing a covering to an air intake including magnetic connecting inserts

A magnetized fastening system for applying, over an opening and surrounding fascia of a structure, a covering material including either of a flexible or rigid outer reinforced extending perimeter within which is configured a plurality of receiving apertures. A plurality of rails are adapted to being secured to the fascia in extending fashion proximate the opening, each of the rails exhibiting a three dimensional cross sectional shape with a forwardly projecting support surface within which is configured an outwardly facing narrowed slot for receiving a plurality of fasteners for securing the edges of the covering. A magnetized insert secures together the elongated channels in perimeter defined fashion over the intake opening. This can further include any of the channels being magnetically attracting, the connectors magnetically attracting metal intake surface of the air handling unit, and/or an intermediate applied strip between the rear surfaces of the channels and the intake face (typically non-metallic or non-attracting in this variant), such providing an opposite polar attraction to the magnet contained in the corner L or intermediate, linear T or cross shaped inserts, such as which can include a rare earth magnet contained in a pocket configured on an inside face of the insert.

A screenlet comprising a frame; a flexible flap secured on one edge thereof to the frame; and an arrangement for securing the frame over an aperture in a screen or window. In a specific embodiment, the flap is made of a flexible material (e.g. rubber) designed to cover the aperture when the screenlet is in use. The aperture allows for a power cord or hose to be passed through the screen when the screenlet is in an open position and for the screen to be secured against insects and other pests when the screenlet is in use or closed. Several arrangements are disclosed for securing the flap to the frame including fastener, hook and loop, magnetic and adhesive embodiments.
