FENESTRATION ASSEMBLY
A fenestration assembly includes a frame assembly, and a sash assembly. The frame assembly includes at least one each unitary frame member formed from a first sheet of material. The sash assembly including at least one unitary member being formed from a second single sheet of material.
Sliding screen door
A sliding screen door assembly includes a door panel having an outer frame and a screen portion. A sliding assembly slidably couples an upper portion of the outer frame of the door panel to a portion of a wall adjacent a doorway and the sliding assembly facilitates a horizontal sliding of the door panel relative the doorway between a closed position in which the door panel substantially covers the doorway and an open position in which the door panel is located substantially to a side of the doorway. A first barrier member is located above the sliding assembly and a second barrier member is located below the sliding assembly.
Hand tool
Method and apparatus for an electrically powered hand tool which can be used to install a spline into the groove on a frame member of a screened-in porch or window screen wherein the tool uses a reciprocating roller to press the screen and spline into the groove of the frame member so that the screen can be secured to the frame member. The hand tool has a handle serving as a housing for an electric motor with a rotating output shaft connecting to a transmission for creating reciprocating motion of a drive shaft having a distal end supporting a rotatable wheel adapted to compress the spline in the groove containing a portion of the screen while the handle is moved along the spline in the groove by a user.
Extendible barricade
An attachment assembly is provided for coupling a portable barricade to an overhead door, including a clamp, the clamp having a first surface and a second surface, the second surface facing the overhead door, a fastener passing through a clamp opening of the clamp and through an opening of the overhead door, a coupling member operably engaged with the fastener, and a biasing element positioned between the second surface of the clamp and the overhead door, wherein, when the coupling member is actuated in a first direction, the biasing element is compressed, shortening a distance between the clamp and the overhead door.
Deployable screen module for a window sash
A tilt window having sash with an internal screen that deploys when the sash is opened and retracted when the sash is closed with a cleaning mechanism in the form of a brush lined slot engaging the screen as it moves into and out of the sash receptacle.
WINDOW PANEL SYSTEM
A temporary panel and panel system. The panel system comprises a fabric held in a two-part, snap-together window panel system. The panel system is attachable to a window trim system to secure it temporarily until fasteners can be driven into the panel system and the channel of the window frame. The window trim includes a fastener boss that helps to hold the fasters that hold the panel to the window frame. The fabric of the panel system is made of a geotextile. The marginal edge of the geotextile may be coated with urethane adhesive before being inserted between the two parts of the panel system. Placement of fasteners along the perimeter of the panel system is guided by a centering groove in the connector system that positions the fastener over a fastener boss in the window frame. The panel system, help temporarily in place to the window frame, may then be securely attached by fasteners driven into the panel frame.
Garage Door Window
This invention is directed toward a window for a garage door panel, where the window has an opening that is surrounded by a body portion, and can be manufactured as part of the manufacture of a garage door panel, or retrofitted into an existing garage door panel. The window has a sliding door that can be slid open to allow for air ventilation, and has bars so that pets cannot escape through the window when it is open, and some combination of a sliding screen and optional security bars to keep insects out and keep pets in the garage. The optional security bars can be bolted or otherwise attached to the panel, thereby not only strengthening the panel but also making it harder for pets to escape and any burglars to enter.
Window screen with magnetic corner keys and associated corner key mates
A magnetically attachable window screen for attachment to a window frame. The window screen includes a plurality of screen frame members. Each frame member includes a first end and a second end wherein the first and second ends are operable to receive a flange member. The window screen also includes a screen corner key with a central magnetic member and two orthogonally opposed flanges extending outwardly in a single plane from the central magnetic member. The flange members of the screen corner key are inserted into the first and second ends of orthogonally opposed adjacent screen frame members to form a fully assembled screen frame. The window screen also includes a plurality of corner key mates inserted into each corner of the screen channel of the window frame. The central magnetic member of the inserted corner key is operable for magnetic attraction to respective corner key mates.
Material sheet frictional securing assembly
An assembly to frictionally secure a material sheet to a surface or to cover an opening for any frame that includes a Base Piece secured to the desired area and a Clamp Arm connected to the Base Piece via a ball and joint allowing radial motion of the Clamp Arm. Using any standard flat-headed tool to apply force, the Clamp Arm can move to an open or secured position allowing repeated uninstall and re-install of a material sheet. Excess length of the Material Sheet is forced into the cavity in the Base Piece and hidden, avoiding the need for the Material Sheet to be cut to the exact smallest size to cover the area, giving the edges a straight, clean look, with the Material Sheet taut.
Machine and Method of Introducing a Camber into a Length of Wire
The present application provides a machine and a method of introducing a camber into a length of wire being conveyed along a path through a machine. As part of introducing the camber, the wire is guided through the machine via at least a first set of rollers and a second set of rollers. The wire being conveyed along the path is diverted via an offset mechanism, which laterally deflects the wire being conveyed away from a straight line route formed between respective wire feed points associated with each of the first and second sets of rollers, wherein the offset mechanism is located between the first set of rollers and the second set of rollers. The diversion in the path of the wire via the offset mechanism introduces the camber having a direction into the wire.
