Window screens, screen components, storm panels, and marketing products
A component part assembly for a window or door screen is provided. One or more component parts are provided which add functionality to a window or door screen. An attachment mechanism is provided for attaching the one or more component parts to a screen frame subsequent to manufacture of the screen. The one or more component parts may include at least one of a locking component, a guide component, a slide component, a handle component, a pull tab component, a roller component, a wheel component, a hinge component, a pivot cam component, a weather stripping component, a seal component, a frame component, a barcode component, an RFID component, a flexible attachment component, or the like. The screen frame may be a flexible screen frame or a rigid screen frame, and may be for a full or half window screen or a door screen.
Retractable flexible-panel door
A retractable, flexible-panel door is mountable to a door frame attached to a building and includes a first side rail, a second side rail, a top rail mountable to and between the first and second side rails, a bottom rail mountable to and between the first and second side rails, a handle coupled to and between the top and bottom rails, a flexible panel extending between the handle and one of the first and second side rails, and at least one biasing member carried by at least one of the first side rail, the second side rail, the top rail and the bottom rail to apply a force to draw the handle toward the one of the first and second side rails, wherein the top and bottom rails are each expandable in length to accommodate mounting of the retractable, flexible panel door to door frames of different widths.
Safety Screen
A safety screen has four frame portions joined together to form a fall resistant window screen to prevent accidental egress from a window or door. Each frame portion has an upper frame portion and a lower frame portion integrally formed out of aluminum. A hinge channel runs longitudinally along a top portion of the upper frame portion and allows the upper frame portion to rotate around an integrally formed pivot slot that is longitudinally disposed at the vertex between the upper and lower frame portions. A U-shaped spline track may have a locking tab that snaps and locks within a frame hook portion that is located on many window and door frame extrusions. A screen is frictionally held in place when the upper frame is rotated and compressed against the lower frame. Each frame is mitered and welded together to form the safety screen.
Screen window for garage door
A sliding screen window for a garage door may be built into new garage doors or may be sold separately for installation on existing garage doors. The window would generally, but not necessarily, be installed on the top panel of a garage door. The screen panel may be oblong in shape or may feature a decorative pattern of screened and non-screened shapes. Behind the screen is a plurality of transparent or opaque sliding plates that may be moved aside to allow air to flow through the garage door.
Reduced visibility window/door screen with a reduced frame profile and internal hardware
A reduced visibility window screen has four frame portions joined together using four corner connectors. A plunger assembly received within each side of the bottom frame portion includes: a compression spring; holder member, and plunger housing. The holder member includes: a body with a first protrusion that engages a compression spring that also contacts a first surface within an opening of the plunger housing, and a second protrusion that is received through a slot in a second surface within the opening of the plunger housing. The second surface is slanted, and the second side of the body is slanted and slides against the slanted surface. The spring biases both the body of the holder member to slide against the slanted surface, and the plunger assembly with respect to the bottom frame portion. An adhesive bonds the mesh to the frame in a two-step ultraviolet LED curing process.
Press fit storm window system
A system for mounting a secondary panel within a window frame of an existing window. The system includes a rigid panel, an elongated deformable bulb, and an elongated carrier. The bulb has a resilient, rounded portion, a base section, an extension extending from the base section, and a crosspiece coupled to a distal end of the extension. The crosspiece includes a pair of shoulders at opposite ends of the crosspiece. Each shoulder extends laterally away from a centerline of the bulb and protrudes laterally beyond the extension. The elongated carrier has a receiving slot opposite a panel gap configured to receive an edge of the panel. The receiving slot has a neck laterally narrower than an interior cavity of the receiving slot. The receiving slot is configured to securely receive the crosspiece of the bulb and to confine the shoulders of the crosspiece.
WINDOW WITH BUILT-IN FOLDABLE SCREEN, AND WINDOW FRAME ASSEMBLY THEREOF
A window frame assembly has a built-in foldable screen, having a body, the body having at least a first frame part and a second frame part; the first frame part has at least a first end surface and a second end surface; the second end surface is fixedly connected to the second frame part; the first end surface is provided with a protruded guiding convex part; the guiding convex part is provided with a line receiving groove; and two sides of the line receiving groove are respectively provided with a concave part. The above structure has the benefits of enabling the guiding convex part located on the transverse frame in the foldable screen module to be re-assembled on the structure of the window frame assembly, thus reducing the number of foldable screen module components, and also improving the convenience of assembling the foldable screen module in the window.
WIRE DRAWING TIGHTNESS CONTROLLER FOR EASILY DETACHABLE AND FOLDABLE SCREEN
A wire drawing tightness controller for an easily detachable and foldable screen, comprising: a connecting member, a wire drawing control device, a first connecting unit and a second connecting unit, wherein the connecting member is provided on a window frame, the wire drawing control device is provided with at least a control unit, and the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit are arranged between the connecting member and the wire drawing control device. By means of the arrangement of the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit, the wire drawing control device can be conveniently connected to the connecting member, and can also be easily separated from the connecting member, thereby enhancing the convenience of assembling a foldable screen.
Assembly, kit and method for securing a covering to an air intake face
A fastening system for applying, over an opening and surrounding fascia of a structure, a covering material including either of a flexible or rigid outer reinforced extending perimeter within which is configured a plurality of receiving apertures. At least one elongated rail adapted to being secured to the fascia in extending fashion proximate the opening, each of the rails exhibiting a three dimensional cross sectional shape with a forwardly projecting support surface within which is configured an outwardly facing narrowed slot. A plurality of fasteners each include a planar shaped base installable through an accessible end location of each of the rails so as to be traversable along an interior channel defined in the rail. A further rotatable portion of each fastener projects from the insertable base through the outwardly facing slot and in order to be rotated from a first position aligning with and seating over perimeter defined receiving apertures of the covering material to a second position in order to affix the material.
SECURITY SCREEN SYSTEM AND METHOD OF AUTOMATED OR SEMI-AUTOMATED ASSEMBLY
There is provided a screen system. The system may include frame assemblies defining a frame, and a sheet of infill material secured to the frame. One or more of the frame assemblies may include: an outer sash including a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and first engagement member(s), with the first sidewall including a retaining portion; a cover sash including second engagement member(s) configured to engage the first engagement member(s) such that the cover sash occupies a position opposing the retaining portion of the first sidewall and, in combination with the retaining portion, defines a channel therebetween; and an inner sash disposed in the channel between the retaining portion and the cover sash, the inner sash configured to retain an end of the sheet of infill material. There is also provided a method of assembly.
