BLASTHOLE DRILL COMPRESSOR DRIVE SYSTEM
A compressor drive system is arranged to selectively operate a compressor and engine of a drill rig. The compressor drive system includes a connection assembly coupled between the engine and the compressor. The connection assembly includes a ring gear arranged to be coupled to the compressor and a clutch arranged to be connected to the engine, wherein a starter is connected to the ring gear and arranged to engage the ring gear to rotate the compressor to a predetermined rotation speed before the clutch is engaged.
BOLTER
A drilling and bolting rig includes a carousel rotatable about a carousel axis and including a plurality of stations configured to support a plurality of consumables, one or more actuators, and a position sensor coupled to the carousel. The one or more actuators are configured to rotate the carousel about the carousel axis. The drilling and bolting rig further includes an electronic processor coupled to the one or more actuators and the position sensor. The electronic processor is configured to detect, using the position sensor, a rotational position of the carousel, and rotate, using the one or more actuators, the carousel based on the rotational position of the carousel.
FOUNDATION CONSTRUCTION MACHINE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SUCH MACHINE
A foundation construction machine includes a tracked undercarriage, an upper structure mechanically connected to the tracked undercarriage, and a mast, whereon an operating equipment mounts for drilling. A kinematic mechanism mechanically connects the mast to the upper structure, and is configured for varying distance between them. A control station is used by an operator for issuing commands to control the foundation construction machine, and to display and/or input information about operation. A control system operationally connects to the control station and controls and drives the foundation construction machine as a function of operator commands. The control system includes a memory unit storing a data archive containing maximum values of the pressure generated by the machine on the soil, as a function of corresponding data. The data includes setup data representing possible setups; geometric configuration data representing possible geometric configurations; and working force data representing working forces acting upon the machine.
Parameter monitoring and control for an electric driven hydraulic fracking system
An electric driven hydraulic fracking system is disclosed. A pump configuration includes the single VFD, the single shaft electric motor, and the single hydraulic pump mounted on the single pump trailer. A controller associated with the single VFD and is mounted on the single pump trailer. The controller monitors operation parameters associated with an operation of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system as each component of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system operates to determine whether the operation parameters deviate beyond a corresponding operation parameter threshold. Each of the operation parameters provides an indicator as to an operation status of a corresponding component of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system. The controller initiates corrected actions when each operation parameter deviates beyond the corresponding operation threshold. Initiating the corrected actions when each operation parameter deviates beyond the corresponding operation threshold maintains the operation of the electric driven hydraulic fracking system.
Fluid coupling drive system for a drill rig air compressor
A drill rig includes a base, a drill tower coupled to and extending from the base, a drill pipe coupled to and supported by the drill tower, an air compressor coupled to the base, a prime mover coupled to the air compressor, and a fluid coupling disposed between and coupled to both the prime mover and the air compressor.
System and method for assessing the efficiency of a drilling process
A method for determining efficiency of a drilling process comprising the steps of: transferring energy via a tool member to the material in which drilling is to be performed by means of a drilling configuration; detecting waves which are propagating in said tool member of said drilling configuration during drilling as a result of energy provision; detecting said waves by means of at least two sensor means arranged on mutually opposite sides of said tool member adjacent to, on a certain distance from, said tool member, which sensor means are based on inductive and/or capacitive detection of said waves in said tool member; and based on results of said detection, determining said efficiency of said drilling process.
VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE CONFIGURATION FOR ELECTRIC DRIVEN HYDRAULIC FRACKING SYSTEM
An electric driven hydraulic fracking system is disclosed. A pump configuration that includes the single VFD, the single shaft electric motor, and the single hydraulic pump that is mounted on the single pump trailer. A pump configuration includes a single VFD configuration, the single shaft electric motor, and the single shaft hydraulic pump mounted on the single pump trailer. The single VFD configuration converts the electric power at the power generation voltage level distributed from the power distribution trailer to a VFD voltage level and drives the single shaft electric motor to control the operation of the single shaft electric motor and the single hydraulic pump. The VFD voltage level is a voltage level that is required to drive the single shaft electric motor. The VFD configuration also controls operation of the auxiliary systems based on the electric power at the auxiliary voltage level.
Electric driven hydraulic fracking operation
Certain embodiments of the present application relate to a variable frequency drive (VFD) cabin for a pump configuration including a mobile trailer on which the VFD cabin is to be mounted. The VFD cabin generally includes a medium-voltage VFD and a ventilation system. In certain embodiments, the ventilation system is configured to generate an overpressure condition within the cabin to discourage the entry of dust and debris into the cabin. In certain embodiments, one or more components of the medium-voltage VFD are coupled to the floor of the cabin via a vibration damping system. In certain embodiments, the VFD cabin may be directly coupled to a chassis of the mobile trailer without an intervening suspension being provided between the VFD cabin and the chassis.
Dynamic working area
A method for defining a working area of a rock drilling rig including the steps of determining at least one current input parameter, determining a working area that defines a reach of the drilling unit in a control unit on the basis of the at least one current input parameter and at least one fixed reach parameter, displaying a graphical representation of the working area on a display, and re-determining the working area and updating the graphical representation of the working area dynamically in response to a change in the input parameters. The current input parameter may be, for example, an orientation of the rock drilling rig or a hole parameter.
