Walking system for a completion or workover rig

A walking system for a workover rig or completion rig mounted on a motor vehicle. The walking system includes a main platform having ramps and tracks for the motor vehicle to drive up onto and a base beam extending perpendicularly on both sides of the main platform to act as outriggers for stability. The system further includes a workstring platform for storing tubulars that make up the workstring, which is elevated above a wellhead. The main platform and base beam have walking assemblies for lifting the rig and moving it laterally so that it can be positioned over the wellhead for workover or completion operations.

A machine includes a boom coupled to a movable carrier and at least one boom actuator adapted to actuate the boom. At least one boom sensor is configured to generate signals indicative of a spatial orientation of the boom. A drilling work device is coupled at a distal portion of the boom. First and second actuators are adapted to actuate the drilling work device. At least one drilling work device sensor is configured to generate signals indicative of a spatial orientation of the drilling work device. A controller receives signals indicative of the spatial orientation of the boom, receives signals indicative of the spatial orientation of the drilling work device, and actuates at least one of the at least one boom actuator and the first and second actuators through series of predetermined steps to automatically position the machine in a shipping configuration.

MAST FOR DRILLING MACHINES

A mast for a drilling machine is disclosed. The mast includes a frame assembly defining an inner volume to accommodate a drilling assembly of the drilling machine. The frame assembly includes a first beam, a second beam, a plurality of links, a plurality of reinforcement members, and a plate, that combinedly form a truss. The plate defines an opening to facilitate access to the inner volume of the frame assembly.

A system includes hoisting cables for raising or lowering an oil rig mast, a support, and hoisting sheaves rotatably mounted on the support. The hoisting cables are wound at least in part about the hoisting sheaves during a process of raising or lowering the mast. Also included are measurement devices which measure angular displacement of the hoisting sheaves during a process of raising or lowering the mast with the hoisting cables. Further included is a signaling device which produces a signal if the measured angular displacement of the hoisting sheaves does not correspond to one or more reference values. A related method includes measuring angular displacement of the hoisting sheaves; comparing measured angular displacement of the hoisting sheaves with one or more reference values; and producing a signal if the measured angular displacement of the hoisting sheaves does not correspond to the one or more reference values.

QUICK DISCONNECT KELLY BAR SYSTEM

A quick disconnect Kelly bar system is provided. In use, a construction attachment includes a quick disconnect mounting plate for connecting the construction attachment to a hitch of a construction machine. A pivotable coupling assembly is connected to the quick disconnect mounting plate. Additionally, an extendable mast is connected to the pivotable coupling assembly at a first end of the extendable mast, and to a headblock structure at a second end of the extendable mast. Further, a Kelly-bar assembly is connected to the headblock structure.
