Plug and play connection system for a below-tension-ring managed pressure drilling system
A plug and play connection system for a managed pressure drilling system includes a connection hub flange disposed around an outer surface of an outer barrel of a telescopic joint that includes a plurality of pass-through ports and a plurality of connection hub flange ports. A connection hub ring is removably disposed around an outer surface of the connection hub flange. The connection hub ring includes a plurality of dogs configured to removably attach the connection hub ring to the outer surface of the connection hub flange and a plurality of stab-in connectors disposed around an outer surface of the connection hub ring. A ported bottom flange is connected to a bottom distal end of the outer barrel of the telescopic joint and includes a plurality of bottom flange ports. A plurality of conduits connect the plurality of connection hub flange ports to the plurality of bottom flange ports.
Corrosion-and-chafing-resistant, buoy system and method
A buoy and mooring system provides a robust buoy protective of markings thereon, easily retrieved for inspection and service, weighted and levered for maintaining self-righting, vertical orientation and anchored with a non-corroding system of connectors and links running from surface to sea floor. A mid-line float resists entanglement, and can be installed or uninstalled by operation of various worm grip mechanisms. A slack line region accommodates changing tides. An upright tube, weighted at a lower end and flanged at an upper end thereof, secures a buoy in place but pulls up through the buoy for easy retrieval by boat crews. Embedding an anchor is by hydraulic water jet drilling. From a thimble in the anchor to a thimble in the upright at the buoy, no intervening metal components are needed in the load path. Markings are durably and protectively embedded in recesses below the buoy's outer surface.
OFFSHORE DRILLING SYSTEM, VESSEL AND METHOD
An offshore drilling vessel includes a floating hull having a moonpool, a drilling tower positioned on the hull at or near the moonpool, a tubular string main hoisting device including a main hoisting winch and main cable connected to the main hoisting winch, a crown block mounted on the drilling tower, a travelling block suspended from the crown block in a multiple fall arrangement of the main cable, a mobile working deck and an integrated heave compensation system including a main cable heave compensation sheave in a path of the main cable between the main hoisting winch and the travelling block, a hydraulic sheave compensator connected to the main cable heave compensation sheave to provide a heave compensated motion of the travelling block, and a hydraulic deck compensator connected to the hull and to the mobile working deck to provide a heave compensated motion of the working deck relative to the hull within the heave compensation motion range.
Offshore drilling system, vessel and method
An offshore drilling system includes a drilling tower, a tubular string hoisting device with a crown block and a travelling block suspended from the crown block in a multiple fall arrangement. A heave compensation system is adapted to provide heave compensation of the travelling block. The heave compensation system includes a hydraulic sheave compensator. The system further includes a mobile working deck which is movable with respect to the drilling tower within a motion range including a heave compensation motion range. The heave compensation system is further adapted to provide heave compensation of the mobile working deck by a hydraulic deck compensator, which is hydraulically connected via a hydraulic conduit to the hydraulic sheave compensator, such that in operation the deck compensator moves synchronously with the sheave compensator of the heave compensation system.
Subsea monitor system
A technique provides for the combined use of a tool and a sensor system to deploy a subsea structural casing. The tool has an engagement region configured to couple with the subsea structural casing. The sensor system is operatively coupled with the tool and comprises a plurality of sensors. The sensors are used to monitor height of the subsea structural casing above a mud line as well as angular deviation of the structural casing during deployment of the subsea structural casing into a seabed.
Jet trenching system
A jetting system for an undersea trencher has jetting conduits extending aftward of its trench-cutting jetting swords. Jetting conduit nozzles direct liquid radially from their jetting conduits into the trench after the trench is excavated by the jetting sword cutting nozzles. The jetting conduits direct sufficient liquid into the trench to maintain the mix of trenched soil and water in the trench along the length of the conduits at not more than a super-critical density, extending the distance in which the product being laid in the trench is able to descend in the trench and increasing the likelihood that the product will be buried at the intended trench depth.
JET TRENCHING SYSTEM
A jetting system for an undersea trencher has jetting conduits extending onward of its trench-cutting jetting swords.
Subsea slanted wellhead system and BOP system with dual injector head units
A wellbore intervention tool conveyance system includes an upper pipe injector disposed in a pressure tight housing. The upper injector has a seal element engageable with a wellbore intervention tool and disposed below the injector. The upper housing has a coupling at a lower longitudinal end. A lower pipe injector is disposed in a pressure tight housing, the lower housing has well closure elements disposed above the lower pipe injector. The lower housing is configured to be coupled at a lower longitudinal end to a subsea wellhead. The lower housing is configured to be coupled at an upper longitudinal end to at least one of (i) a spacer spool disposed between the upper pipe injector housing and the lower pipe injector housing, and (ii) the lower longitudinal end of the upper pipe injector housing.
