COMPOSITE SINTERED BODY CUTTING TOOL
A composite sintered body cutting tool, in which tungsten is reduced, is made of a TiCN-based cermet and WC-based cemented carbide. The cutting tool has an angle of less than 90 degrees formed by a rake face and a flank face. The rake face including a cutting edge contains WC-based cemented carbide including 4% to 17% by mass of iron group metal components with a remainder being WC. The thickness of the carbide is 0.05 to 0.3 times the thickness of the composite sintered body. The TiCN-based cermet which is a base body of the cutting tool includes 4% to 25% of the iron group metal components, less than 15% of W, 2% to 15% of Mo, 2% to 10% of Nb, and 0.2% to 2% of Cr. The cermet may contain iron group metal Co and Ni, where, Co/Co+Ni is 0.5 to 0.8.

RAISE BORING HEAD FOR ROTARY BORING
A raise boring head for rotary boring in rock having a main body mountable at a drive shaft in which a mount face provides a supporting surface for a plurality of saddles that mount, in turn, respective roller cutters. At least one guide block is attached to the main body to project upwardly from the mount face and includes at least one guide face to facilitate the transport of cut material away from the mount face.
Hammer reamer for expanding a pilot bore
Disclosed is a hammer reamer that comprises similar features to prior art reamers such as cutting wheels and a product-pulling feature. An exemplary hammer reamer, however, also includes a hammer component operable to deliver a percussive cycle of an internal piston component. Notably, an internal impact surface within the head of the hammer reamer is positioned relative to the piston component in the hammer consistent with a sweet spot position of a drill bit used in a pilot boring configuration. Unlike a slidably engaged drill bit, however, the internal impact surface in the hammer reamer is fixed in place so that the impact surface remains in the sweet spot of the piston stroke range. In this way, even though the hammer reamer is being pulled back through a bore while the drill string is being retracted, the hammer component may continue to deliver percussive blows to the hammer reamer head to introduce a vibratory force that contributes to the efficiency of the reaming process.

Method and system for a hole opener
A method and system for a hole opener are provided. The hole opener includes a shaft including a plurality of axial slots formed in an outer periphery and spaced circumferentially about the shaft, a plate coupled to the outer periphery between each pair of slots, the plate including fastening wings that extend radially outwardly from each circumferential end of the plate, and a blade extending radially outwardly from a respective one of the plurality of axial slots between a fastening wing of each of adjacent plates, the blade coupled to each fastening wing.

SLIDE REAMER AND STABILIZER TOOL
A downhole tool, for selectively reaming a wellbore or stabilizing drill string components within a wellbore, includes an elongate tool body adapted to receive reamer cartridges or stabilizer cartridges depending on the function desired. The reamer cartridges are radially insertable into corresponding pockets in the tool body, with each reamer cartridge having a reamer insert with an array of cutting elements. The reamer insert is disposed within a bushing and is rotatable relative thereto, about a rotational axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tool. However, the rotational axis is offset from the tool body axis, resulting in eccentric contact of the cutting elements with the wall of the wellbore, which in turn imparts rotation to the reamer insert when the tool is being moved axially through a wellbore without rotation. When the tool is to be used for stabilization, the reamer cartridges can be removed and replaced with stabilizer cartridges having stabilizer inserts with hard-faced stabilizer cones.

Reamer Drill Bit Device
A reamer drill bit device is provided. The device is comprised of a boring drill bit comprised of a guide that attaches around the bit to keep the bit in place within a boring hole and to ensure even turning within said hole. The guide preferably encloses both sides of the bit to prevent debris from contacting the bit. The guide is also comprised of a plurality of secondary bits positioned radially around the guide that move debris such as gravel and dirt out of the hole being drilled and allow the device to penetrate a plurality of ground surface types.
