A mandrel that includes a keyed outer diameter, wherein the keyed outer diameter are configured to interface with indicators on an inner diameter of housing when rotated in a first direction and freely slide over the indicators when rotated in a second direction.

PROCESSES FOR INJECTION OF FLUIDS INTO A WELLBORE VIA DRILL PIPE

Processes for injection of fluids into a wellbore via drill pipe. In some embodiments, the process can include positioning a downhole apparatus on a drill pipe. The process can also include placing the downhole apparatus at a desired station depth within a wellbore. The process can also include attaching a cable to the downhole apparatus from an up-hole environment. The process can also include setting at least one packer to seal a space between at least a portion of the downhole apparatus and an inner surface of the wellbore. The process can also include introducing a fluid to the downhole apparatus through the drill pipe and using a pump to inject at least a portion of the fluid into a geological stratum.

Systems and methods for the down-hole automatic mechanical coupling and alignment of a first sensor module and a second sensor module are provided. A mating element of a first sensor module includes a sheath with a first cam and a shroud surrounding the first cam. A second mating element of a second sensor module includes a second cam complementary to the first cam. Upon mating, the sheath surrounds at least a portion of the second mating element and the first cam seats against the second cam, with a predetermined axial orientation with respect to each other.

A coupling mechanism for securing a tool to a tool arm may include a housing and an engaging lock. The engaging lock may be arranged within the housing and configured for rotation by the tool arm. Rotation of the engaging lock may drive locking mechanisms partially through the housing to establish a longitudinally secured connection.

Single trip liner setting and drilling assembly and methods

A liner assembly (100) includes a drill string (120) to drill a borehole (105) in a formation (110). The liner assembly further includes a liner assembly releasably coupled to the drill string to move with the drill string in the borehole while the drill string drills, and to be released from the drill string in the borehole after the drill string drills to a depth.

Anchor With Multiple Arms For Minimal Rotation Of Latch During Guided Orientation

A system that includes an anchor that includes a first slot and a second slot, and a latch that includes a first key and a second key, where while the latch undergoes latch translation, the first key and the second key are adapted to translate into the first slot and the second slot, respectively.

TORQUE LIMITING DEVICE

A work string assembly for an oil or gas well has a first and second tubulars, and a torque limiting device connected in the work string. The torque limiting device has a body with an axial bore and two interconnected members that can disconnect to be relatively rotatable. The interconnected members can be repeatedly re-engageable when the torque levels drop below a torque threshold value, or can be connected by a frangible member that is broken when the interconnected members disconnect. A selectively actuable circulation port provided in the string adjacent to and above the torque limiting device allows the annulus between the work string and the casing to be flushed with fluid from the port.

A downhole tool, including first and second sections, the second section being rotatable relative to the first section, a lock sleeve attached to the first and second sections, the lock sleeve being unlockable by application of a threshold torque acting between the first section and the second section. A positive displacement motor assembly, including a housing, a power section, and a stator, a drive sub connected to the rotor, and a lock sleeve nonrotatably attached to the housing and to the drive sub, the lock sleeve being releasable at a selected threshold torque between the housing and the drive sub. A method for forming a casing exit, including running a tool to a target location in a borehole, causing the first section and the second section to experience different rotational strain, releasing the lock sleeve at a torque threshold between the first and second sections.

Whipstock integrated to completion string for coiled tubing operations

A system includes coiled tubing connected to a bottom hole assembly, a latching tool removably connected to the completion string using a completion shear pin, configured to connect to the bottom hole assembly, having a stationary portion and a rotational portion overlayed on top of the stationary portion, wherein a first position of the latching tool comprises the rotational portion movably disposed around an outer circumferential surface of the stationary portion and a second position of the latching tool comprises the rotational portion immovably disposed around the outer circumferential surface of the stationary portion, a milling section connected to the latching tool and configured to receive weight and rotational movement from the coiled tubing to sidetrack the well when the latching tool is in the second position, and a whipstock removably connected to the milling section via a mill shear pin and having anchor slips configured to jut out into and engage with an inner circumferential surface of the well when an anchor shear pin is broken.
