Continuous rod centralizer
09784045 · 2017-10-10 ·

A continuous rod centralizer has a cylindrical centralizer body with a first end, a second end, an interior surface defining a bore which receives the continuous rod, and vanes extending radially from the exterior surface. A first rod clamp clamps onto the continuous rod at the first end of the body to confine movement of the body along the continuous rod in a first direction. A second rod clamp clamps onto the continuous rod at the second end of the body to confine movement of the body along the continuous rod in a second direction.

Polish rod alignment device/stuffing box packing preserver

A polish rod alignment and stabilization device preserves stuffing box packing and protects the polish rod of an oil well sucker rod string by guiding and aligning the polish rod as it reciprocates within the stuffing box thereby reducing lateral motion of the polish rod reciprocates up and down. Embodiments of the invention may also wipe the polish rod of debris as it reciprocates within the device. The alignment device utilizes a rod centralizer to which a stuffing box is made up. The centralizer has a second end to which an alignment barrel depends, either by direct connection or by utilization of a barrel adapter. The alignment barrel is disposed within the uppermost portion of the tubing string of the well.

Multi-tasking rod guide having backflow reducer
09732599 · 2017-08-15 ·

A multi-tasking downhole rod guide for centralizing a downhole pump rod within a production tubing string, while simultaneously reducing abrasion and deterioration of the production tubing and affording a built-in backflow preventer. The rod guide is configured with an elongate helix having a continuous trough-like channel through which hydrocarbons flow upwardly under high pressure. As the pressurized hydrocarbons flow through a succession of plates at each equidistant helical level, the elongate helix rotates synchronously with the upwardly flowing hydrocarbons within the production tubing string. Integrated bearing assembly and backflow An integrated bearings assembly and backflow restrictor accommodate hydrocarbons flow perturbations and sustain continuous fluid flow uphole.

STABILIZER FOR INHIBITING SUCKER ROD BUCKLING DURING COMPRESSION MOMENTS IN ARTIFICIAL LIFT WELLS
20220268109 · 2022-08-25 · ·

A helical solid profile attached and originating from the outer diameter of a composite or steel sucker rod and extending approximately to the inner diameter of the production tubing, running axially along the sucker rod body and affixed to it for reinforcement and stabilization of the sucker rod tension member body in axial alignment to the central axis of the production tubing which the sucker rod member is housed in, whereas the helical solid profile is made of material which is for acceptable use within the production system environment, the helical solid profile purpose being to control and reduce the sucker rod's deflection during compressive moments, extending the life of the sucker rod or reduction in stress and erratic buckling cycles.

09771764 · 2017-09-26 · ·

A torque anchor intended to block the rotation of a production string with respect to a casing of a well, the torque anchor comprising a body, at least two supports mobile with respect to the body, wheels borne by the supports, the wheels being suitable for running on an inner face of said casing, at least one restraining device suitable for exerting a force on said wheels in order to anchor said wheels in said casing. Each restraining device comprises a set of springs suitable for acting on the set of said supports and a guide capable of guiding said set of springs; said guide being borne by said supports; said guide being mobile with respect to at least one support.

Operating Tool For an Artificial Lift System
20220235616 · 2022-07-28 ·

An operating tool for an artificial lift system includes a housing having a key slot. The operating tool further includes at least one biasing member disposed in the housing. The operating tool further includes a key including a key head having a key profile, wherein the key head is remove from the slot when aligned with the key slot. The operating tool further includes a cam including a cam profile, wherein the cam is disposed in the housing and biased toward the slot by the at least one biasing member, wherein the cam profile is configured to engage the key profile to align the key head with the key slot.

SUCKER ROD COUPLINGS AND TOOL JOINTS WITH POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND ELEMENTS

The present disclosure includes sucker rod strings, pipe protectors, and tool joints having polycrystalline diamond elements positioned thereon to interface engagement with other surfaces in downhole applications. The polycrystalline diamond elements can be positioned on sucker rod guides, sucker rod couplers, pipe protectors, and tool joints.

Polish rod leveling assembly

A leveling assembly that is capable of lubrication without separating the individual leveling plates. The leveling assembly comprising: a first plate having a convex curved surface having a curvature, the first plate defining a central bore therethrough; a second plate having a concave curved surface shaped to mate with the convex curved surface; the second plate defining a central bore therethrough. One of the first or second plates defines a lubrication passageway extending from a first opening on an exterior surface thereof to a second opening on the curved surface, and a lubrication groove extending from the second opening to the central bore of the plate with the lubrication passageway.

GEAR ROD ROTATOR SYSTEMS AND RELATED SYSTEMS, SENSORS, AND METHODS

Sensor systems for sucker rod pump systems and gear rod rotator systems may include one or more sensor modules comprising a sensor including at least one of a position sensor, a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor, or a vibration sensor for detecting a characteristic related to at least one component of the sucker rod pump systems or the gear rod rotator system.

Sliding standoff assembly

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a standoff assembly for a sucker rod used for sucker rod pumps. The assembly includes an annulus body, a hole that passes through the annulus body, the hole configured to permit a sucker rod to translate through the hole, a sliding material component located along the surface of the hole, and a temporary component; wherein upon elimination of the temporary component, the sliding material component interacts with the sucker rod to reduce sliding friction as the sucker rod translates through the assembly.
