More specifically, a downhole assembly comprising a plug section, which itself comprises a top sub, a bottom sub, a slip, and an elastomeric element. The downhole assembly further comprises a power section comprising a body comprising a power charge and one or more ignitors, a firing head, a shearing pin, and a setting tool piston. Additionally, the downhole assembly comprises a check valve, wherein the check valve is positioned downhole from the power charge and inside the setting tool piston; a mandrel comprising a hydraulic chamber and a ball, wherein the mandrel is positioned inside and adjacent to the setting tool piston and the top sub; and a dog.
Downhole device and downhole system
The present invention relates to a downhole device for being moved downwards in a well by fluid to assist stimulation of a production zone of the well, the well comprising a well tubular structure having a first opening and a first movable sleeve arranged opposite the first opening, and the well tubular structure having an inner diameter, the downhole device having an axial extension, and comprising: a first part comprising two projection elements having a profile matching grooves in the sleeve, and a second part comprising: a body, two anchor elements projectable from the body for anchoring the second part in the well tubular structure, and a sealing element configured to seal against the well tubular structure, the downhole device further comprising: a displacement mechanism comprising a piston movable within a piston cylinder to displace, in the axial extension, the first part in relation to the second part when anchored in the well tubular structure to operate the sleeve. The invention also relates to a downhole system for stimulating a formation surrounding a well tubular structure of a well. Finally, the present invention relates to a stimulation method for stimulating a formation by means of a downhole system according to the invention.
PRESSURE CYCLE DEVICE
Provided is a pressure cycle actuation assembly. The pressure cycle actuation assembly, in one aspect, includes a housing, a reciprocating piston located within the housing and defining first and second fluid chambers, and a check valve positioned between the first and second fluid chambers, the check valve permitting fluid flow from the first fluid chamber to the second fluid chamber but preventing fluid flow from the second fluid chamber to the first fluid chamber. The A pressure cycle actuation assembly, according to this aspect, further includes a flow restrictor positioned between the first and second fluid chambers, the flow restrictor restricting fluid flow between the first fluid chamber and the second fluid chamber, and a rotating collet coupled to the reciprocating piston, the rotating collet translating reciprocal axial motion of the reciprocating piston into one-direction rotation and axial lengthening or shortening of the rotating collet relative to the reciprocating piston.
HYDRAULIC LOCK APPARATUS
A hydraulic lock apparatus, comprising: a lock operator piston arranged to be axially moveable in a piston chamber, the lock operator piston defining a first seal area; a fluid release valve comprising a valve port and a valve member axially moveable within a valve chamber, wherein the fluid release valve is moveable from a sealing arrangement to an open arrangement, wherein the fluid release valve defines a second seal area when in the sealing arrangement; and a hydraulic chamber defined between the first seal area of the lock operator piston and the second seal area of the fluid release valve; wherein the first seal area is larger than the second seal area; and the fluid release valve is configured to be moveable from the sealing arrangement, in which the hydraulic chamber is isolated from the valve port, to the open arrangement, in which the hydraulic chamber is connected to the valve port, in response to a differential pressure cycle being applied to the valve member over the second seal area.
HYDROSTATIC MODULE INTERLOCK, METHOD AND SYSTEM
A hydrostatic module interlock for a downhole tool including a piston having fingers extending from a body thereof, a piston mandrel telescopically arranged with the piston, and a retaining piston disposed to prevent finger deflection in the first position and allow finger deflection in the second position. A method for actuating an interlocked tool including loading a release configuration to a threshold force, releasing the release configuration, moving a retaining piston out of a first position wherein the retaining piston physically impedes deflection of a finger of a piston, deflecting the finger out of engagement with a piston mandrel telescopically arranged relative to the piston, and moving the piston relative to the piston mandrel. A borehole system including a borehole in a subsurface formation, a string disposed in the borehole, and a hydrostatic module interlock disposed within or as a part of the string.
Eccentric linkage gripper
A gripper mechanism for a downhole tool is disclosed that includes an eccentric linkage mechanism. In operation, an axial force generated by a power section of the gripper expands the linkage mechanism, which applies a radial force to the interior surface of a wellbore or passage. A sliding portion allows the gripper to slide along a surface of the formation in response to the radial force applied to the interior surface of the wellbore or passage.
Methods and assemblies for running and testing tools
Assemblies and methods are provided for positioning a sealing tool within a receptacle and pressure testing a seal between the sealing tool and the receptacle. The assembly may be coupled to the sealing tool for latching the sealing tool into the receptacle. The assembly may include a projection that is movable between a coupled position and an uncoupled position. In the coupled position, the projection may couple the assembly to the sealing tool. In the uncoupled position, the projection may be positioned such that the assembly is not coupled to the sealing tool. The projection may move from the coupled position to the uncoupled position in response to determining a seal is established between the sealing tool and the receptacle.
Setting tool assembly
A setting tool assembly having an adapter housing configured to couple with a part of a workstring, and an inner housing coupled with the adapter housing. A trigger device is coupled with a movable piston. During run-in, the piston is in a first position. Upon activation, the trigger device undergoes an altering event whereby the piston moves to a second position as a result of a pressure acting thereon.
