Wiper ring assembly with energizing member
A downhole pump is used for a reciprocating pump system having a rod string disposed in a tubing string. A barrel of the pump is disposed, and a plunger of the pump coupled to the rod string is movably disposed in the barrel. The plunger has an external surface disposed at an annular gap relative to the barrel's internal surface. The external surface has circumferential grooves defined thereabout that hold wipers. An inner ring of the wipers composed of a swellable material is engaged in the one or more circumferential grooves, while an outer ring composed of a second material is disposed about the inner ring. The swellable material of the inner ring energizes the outer ring in slideable engagement with the internal surface of the barrel.

DOWNHOLE SWIVEL APPARATUS AND METHOD
What is provided is a method and apparatus which can be detachably connected to an annular blowout preventer thereby separating the drilling fluid or mud into upper and lower sections and allowing the fluid to be displaced in two stages, such as while the drill string is being rotated and/or reciprocated. In one embodiment the sleeve can be rotatably and sealably connected to a mandrel. The swivel can be incorporated into a drill or well string and enabling string sections both above and below the sleeve to be rotated in relation to the sleeve. In one embodiment the drill or well string does not move in a longitudinal direction relative to the swivel. In one embodiment, the drill or well string does move longitudinally relative to the sleeve of the swivel.
Method and Apparatus for Measuring Wear on Sucker Rod Guides
A method and apparatus is shown for measuring diameter of sucker rods during reworking of an oil well. Diameters are compared to known data tables to determine if a sucker rod should be replaced. If undue wear has occurred to the guides, the sucker rod will be replaced. If wear is excessive, additions guides will be added to the replacement sucker rod.
Method and system for stripping tubulars and the like comprising frustoconical air blade
A toroidal air blade tool for mounting on top of a blow-out preventer is provided. The tool can include upper and lower toroidal ring halves that form a plenum and a circumferential orifice when assembled together. Compressed gas or pressurized fluid introduced into the plenum exits the orifice in the form of frustoconical gas or fluid blade that can strip off mud and produced substances from tubulars being removed from a well.

Wiper Barrier Plug Assemblies
A wiper barrier plug assembly can include a wiper plug, an expandable plug, and a trigger device that includes a first housing part, a second housing part, and a mechanical trigger, where the wiper plug, the expandable plug, and the trigger device are mechanically coupled together, where the mechanical trigger is disposed between and maintains a separated position of the first housing part and the second housing part relative to each other when the trigger device is in a default trigger device position, where the mechanical trigger is configured to break when the trigger device converts to an actuated state, where the first housing part and the second housing part, when the trigger device is in the actuated state, are configured to move to a collapsed position relative to each other to operate the expandable plug from a default expandable plug position to an expanded position.

Method of controlling a drilling operation, and rotating control device mitigator
There is described a method of controlling a drilling operation. A pipe joint is determined to be entering a rotating control device (RCD). In response to determining that the pipe joint is entering the RCD, a weight-on-bit (WOB) setpoint is increased so as to increase a measured WOB. After increasing the WOB setpoint, the pipe joint is determined to be exiting the RCD. In response to determining that the pipe joint is exiting the RCD, the WOB setpoint is decreased so as to decrease the measured WOB.
Dual rubber cartridge
A housing of a dual rubber cartridge attaches at least one rubber to an inner barrel for rotation with the inner barrel. A first rubber and a second rubber may attach to the housing for quick installation of the rubbers. The user removes the housing to remove and replace the two rubbers. The user may then replace the original housing with a second housing on which new rubbers are installed. The housing enables the user to quickly replace the rubbers to reduce down time of the drilling operation.
