Durable joint seal system with detachable cover plate and rotatable ribs
A system which creates a durable seal between adjacent horizontal panels, including those that may be curved or subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear. The durable seal system incorporates a plurality of ribs, a flexible member between the cover plate and the ribs and may incorporate a load transfer plate to provide support to the rib from below, and/or cores of differing compressibilities.
Expansion joint seal system with spring centering and ribs with protuberances
A system which creates a durable seal between adjacent horizontal panels, including those that may be curved or subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear. The durable seal system incorporates a plurality of ribs, a flexible member between the cover plate and the ribs and may incorporate a load transfer plate to provide support to the rib from below, and/or cores of differing compressibilities.
Expansion joint seal and expansion joint
An expansion joint seal for sealing a gap between two structural members that includes a coverplate, a snap-fit connector extending downwardly from the coverplate, a central spine connected to the coverplate with a snap-fit connector and extending downwardly from the connector, and foam seal members engaged with the central spine of the expansion joint seal. An expansion joint including spaced-apart structural members defining a gap between the spaced-apart members and the expansion joint seal.
Cover assembly for structural members
An expansion joint system for bridging an expansion joint gap between two spaced-apart, underlying building or roadway structures. The expansion joint system includes a cover plate, at least one swing arm, sliding bearings engaged with the swing arms, and fasteners for engaging the swing arms to the cover plate. The swing arms include a receiving well configured for receiving a mechanical fastener to fasten the swing arms to the cover plate. The expansion joint system permits movement in response to a seismic or thermal event that causes expansion or contraction of the gap between structural members while maintaining coverage of the gap, and following a seismic or thermal event, the maintains a substantially-centered position of the cover plate.
DRIVABLE BUILDING STRUCTURE
A drivable building structure is provided including a first partial construction and a second partial construction movable relative to the first. The first partial construction has a first substructure and a first roadway structure which forms a first drivable surface, and the second partial construction has a second substructure and a second roadway structure which forms a second drivable surface. An expansion joint is between the first substructure and the second. A bridging structure extends between the first roadway structure and the second. The bridging structure spans the expansion joint and has a support plate and an expansion body. The expansion body is supported by the support plate, is cast on site from casting compound, and forms a drivable surface. The expansion body casting compound is polymer-based. The expansion body has a multi-layer structure produced in successive casting operations, and at least two of the layers have different compositions.
Edge protector adapted to be cast into the edge of a concrete floor slab
Edge protectors are useful to be cast into the edges of concrete slabs to prevent spalling thereof after shrinkage has occurred and a gap has formed between adjacent slabs. An alternative edge protector (10) is described which comprises a first folded sheet having, in use, an upper (35) and a lower portion (25), the fold being on a first side of the first folded sheet and being alignable, in use, with the sidewall of the slab, the upper portion being planar and being arrangeable, in use, with its upper surface coplanar with the upper surface of the slab, the lower portion extending at least partially under the upper portion in a direction away from the fold, and continuing from the end of the lower portion in the same general direction, without any further folds or bends greater than 90 degrees, as an anchor portion (20) such that the anchor portion is arrangeable within the slab.
Expansion joint seal with surface load transfer and intumescent
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
Expansion joint seal system with spring centering
A system which creates a disable seal between adjacent horizontal panels, including those that may be curved or subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear. The durable seal system incorporates a plurality of ribs, a flexible member between the cover plate and the ribs and may incorporate a load transfer plate to provide support, to the rib from below, and/or cores of differing compressibilities.
Expansion Joint Seal with surface load transfer and intumescent
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
Expansion joint seal with surface load transfer, intumescent, and internal sensor
An expansion joint design for supporting transfer loads. The system includes an elongated core and at least one longitudinal load-transfer member which are bonded together.
