HOSE BRIDGE EXTENDER AND RAILROAD CROSSING

A bridge piece that can be used as a hose bridge extender or a railroad crossing. An exemplary bridge piece has a body having an undercut proximate one side, which undercut is positioned near a track when used as part of a railroad crossing.

CATALYTIC SIEVES AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
20210403342 · 2021-12-30 · ·

A method of manufacturing a catalytic sieve includes providing starting materials of an aggregate, a cementing agent, a sublimation agent and water. The sublimation agent (between 25% and 50% by weight of the cementing agent) is selected from molybdenum disulfide, tungsten disulfide, vanadium disulfide, copper sulfate, and combinations thereof. The aggregate contains at least 2% by weight of at least one transition metal. The method includes mixing the starting materials to achieve a mixture, placing the mixture into a form, and curing the mixture in the form to allow the mixture to become a solidified unit defined by a minimum dimension of thickness, length, width or diameter. The method further includes placing the solidified unit into a kiln, heating the kiln to 1115°−1350° C., maintaining the kiln at the temperature for between 10-60 minutes per centimeter of the minimum dimension, and removing the solidified unit from the kiln.

PLASTIC PAVER BLOCKS

Embodiments of the present disclosure may include a modular unit for a paver unit curb installation or a black top pavement installation. The modular unit includes a main body having elongate grooves for easy lifting using the lifting tool as well as bores to connect the modular units in series with elongate connectors. The modular unit may also have elongate spikes disposed through the bottom portion of the modular unit to secure the modular units in place and to further allow the curb installation to be placed atop the bottom portion of each of the modular units.

Curb for measuring flood depth in urban area

The present invention provides a curb for measuring the flood depth in an urban area, more particularly, to a curb for measuring the flood depth in an urban area, which is configured to demarcate the boundary between a vehicular roadway and a pedestrian sidewalk to measure the flood depth so that the flood depth in the urban area can be measured without the necessity for additional installation of a separate structure. In particular, the present invention has an effect in that an air contact type water level gauge is installed in a first space of a main body to measure the flood depth, i.e., the level of flooding water based on the internal air pressure of a cylindrical tube so that a pressure sensor is not brought into close contact with the flooding water to prevent corrosion of the pressure sensor, thereby reducing the maintenance and repair costs.

VEHICLE BARRIER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
20230383488 · 2023-11-30 ·

A vehicle barrier system is provided. The system includes a barrier structure integrally connected to a moment slab. The barrier structure includes a front curb section connected to two side curb sections that each extend at an angle from the front curb section in a direction toward the moment slab. The front and side curb sections are formed by a casing into which concrete is poured. The barrier structure and moment slab are cast-in-place concrete structures. The barrier structure may be installed on top of an elevated structure so that a vehicle may back up to the front curb section and dump material from the elevated structure.

Protective Barrier

A protective barrier includes an angle bracket having a length extending from a first end to a second end of the protective barrier. The angle bracket includes a first elongate leg member having a first edge extending along the length of the angle bracket, the first elongate member having a first side configured to be mounted to a surface, a second elongate leg member extending along the length of the angle bracket and substantially perpendicular from the first elongate leg member, and an impact absorber extending from the first end to the second end of the protective barrier, the impact absorber being compressible and configured to be disposed on the angle bracket.

LIGHTWEIGHT UNIVERSAL PANEL MAT
20210131041 · 2021-05-06 ·

A lightweight universal panel mat made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat, textured or structured top surface to facilitate movement over the mat and a second section having geometry that includes a plurality of cells having top surfaces that support the first section. The panel mats have first, second, third and fourth sides that are configured to matingly engage or connect to the second, third, fourth and first sides, respectively. The connection can be by insertion or snap-locking of one side to another, or by the use of fastening elements that more securely holds the sides together. Thus, similarly configured panel mats can be connected by interlocking to form a temporary support surface, deck, walkway or roadway. Additional side ramps and adapters can be used to facilitate installation of the mats and access to the upper surfaces of the joined mats.
