POWER HEAD FOR POWERED CONCRETE ROLLER SCREED
A power head for a powered concrete roller screed includes a handle and a driver housing at a distal end of the handle. A cordless, battery-operated driver is received in the driver housing. A head actuator includes a translatable link extending along the handle and an eccentric cam. The eccentric cam is operatively connected to the translatable link within the drive housing such that translation of the translation link imparts rotation of the eccentric cam about a rotational axis of the eccentric cam to an actuated position. The eccentric cam is adjacent a trigger of a cordless, battery-operated driver and is configured to depress the trigger when the eccentric cam is rotated about its rotational axis to the actuated position.
Method for mounting a surface-formation equipment to a mobile unit
A method for mounting a surface-formation equipment to a mobile unit includes an equipment-engaging support and has a traction point in contact with the ground. The method includes configuring the equipment-engaging support of the mobile unit at a minimum height; configuring the surface-formation equipment with respect to the mobile unit in a configuration wherein a lower surface of the surface-formation equipment is in a same plane as the traction point on the ground of the mobile unit. The surface-formation equipment mounts to the equipment-engaging support of the mobile unit with the equipment-engaging support being maintained at the minimum height and with the lower surface of the surface-formation equipment being in the same plane as the traction point on the ground of the mobile unit.
PLACER SPREADER WITH ADJUSTABLE STRIKE OFF
A strike off assembly for a placer spreader apparatus includes a strike off support beam and left and right side plate assemblies attached to ends of the support beam. A strike off plate assembly includes a left strike off plate portion and a right strike off plate portion pivotably connected together. A plurality of strike off actuators are connected to the strike off plate assembly and configured to raise and lower the strike off plate assembly relative to the support beam to vary a height of a material placement space.
TELESCOPING ROTATABLE TOOL
A telescoping rotatable tool includes a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft has a first material-engaging element extending from an exterior surface of the first shaft. The second shaft has a second material-engaging element extending from an exterior surface of the second shaft. The second shaft is configured to extend from and retract within an interior space presented by the first shaft. The first shaft includes at least one helical-shaped groove extending along an interior surface of the first shaft. The second shaft includes at least one guide element extending from the exterior surface of the second shaft. The guide element is configured to engage with the groove, such that as the second shaft extends from and retracts within the first shaft, the second shaft is configured to rotate with respect to the first shaft.
CORDLESS ELECTRICALLY-POWERED CONCRETE SCREED
A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame and a powered drive. The frame includes a drive housing. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and is configured to rotate a rotatable concrete forming drum. The powered drive includes an electric motor and a battery operably coupled to the electric motor and configured to power the electric motor. The powered drive includes a drive shaft drivingly connectable relative to the drum, with rotation of the drive shaft causing corresponding rotation of the drum.
Actuating resurfacing system and method
A system for re-surfacing a pavement surface includes a mobile vehicle having a first longitudinal axis and a material delivery mechanism having a second longitudinal axis. The system also includes an actuation system coupled to the mobile vehicle and to the material delivery mechanism. The actuation system is configured to actuate the material delivery mechanism with respect to the mobile vehicle such that the first longitudinal axis is oriented obliquely with respect to the second longitudinal axis.
Asphalt Rake Assembly
An asphalt rake assembly for enhancing ergonomics of a rake includes a rake head that has sequence of triangular teeth thereon for raking material. A handle is coupled to the rake head and the handle has a plurality of intersecting sides. Thus, the handle has a rectangular cross section taken along a longitudinal axis. In this way each of the intersecting sides can be gripped thereby facilitating the rake head to be tilted at a selected angle while maintaining preferred ergonomic positioning of a user's hands on the handle.
Concrete screed power control linkage
A power unit is configured for use as part of a concrete screed and includes a frame, a powered drive, and a mechanical control connection. The frame includes a drive housing and a handle to be grasped by a user, with the handle being configured to facilitate manual advancement of the concrete screed in a forward direction. The handle includes a grip and a relatively shiftable user-operated drive controller. The powered drive is operably supported by the drive housing and is configured to rotate a rotatable concrete forming drum.
