Metallic Striping on Roads for Vehicle Guidance
In current highway transportation systems pavement markings guide vehicles along roads. A new system using metallic objects and electromagnetic sensing equipment would enable vehicles to better navigate roads. Metallic objects are placed on roadway surfaces in a similar fashion of existing pavement markings. The metallic objects are patterned to develop a code of information that is detectable using electromagnetic fields. When these fields are detected, the vehicles can be fully or semi-autonomously guided using the information communicated by the metallic filings.

COMPOSITION FOR PAVEMENT MARKINGS
A composition comprises a thermoplastic binder, at least one optical component, and a colour correcting component. The optical component comprises retroreflecting particles. The color correcting component comprising at least one pigment and is selected to selectively absorb a wavelength of light. The thermoplastic binder and at least one optical component has a first colour and the colour correcting component has a second colour. The first colour and second colour are a complementary colour pair.
Preformed Thermoplastic Pavement Marking and Method Utilizing Large Aggregate for Improved Skid Resistance and Reduced Tire Tracking
The present disclosure describes a preformed or in some cases a hot applied thermoplastic marking composition comprising a planar top surface portion and a planar bottom surface portion that are coplanar to each other, wherein said bottom surface portion is directly applied to a substrate via application of heat or pressure or both heat and pressure and wherein said top surface portion comprises an intermix that exits throughout said thermoplastic composition and includes large grit size aggregate in the range of about 8 to about 20 mesh or grit size, thereby reducing or eliminating tire tracking while also improving long-term skid resistance.

Anisotropic retroreflective mesh for longitudinal pavement marking articles and methods
In various embodiments, the present disclosure provides for reflective materials, articles and methods incorporating a mesh arrangement of multiple, discrete retroreflective canted cube corner reflectors each having generally flat incident surfaces and high transparency, with a geometry and a refractive index ratio sufficiently high enough to produce a high degree of total internal reflection (TIR) that results in anisotropic retroreflectivity.
