Parking Lot Systems
In one instance, a parking lot system is presented with a first driveway in a first direction and a second driveway in a second direction opposite the first direction. The first driveway includes a first plurality of parking spaces, wherein each parking space comprises a first rectangular space to accommodate an automobile. A second rectangle is adjacent to the first rectangular space. The second driveway includes a second plurality of parking spaces, wherein each parking space comprises a third rectangular space sized to accommodate an automobile. The second rectangle is adjacent to the third rectangle. The second rectangle forms a buffer zone into which automobile doors in the second and third rectangle may open. The first and second plurality of parking spaces at least partially abut one another directly. Other systems are also presented.
Pump for melted thermoplastic materials
An improvement to surface marking devices for pumping and circulating melted thermoplastic material to various surfaces including roads, parking lots and the like is provided. The pump for melted thermoplastic is comprised of a cold section and a hot section. The hot section is connected to a fluid or electric motor, or alternatively, an internal combustion engine for providing rotation to the pump. The connection to provide rotation to the hot section is through the cold section, which is spaced away from the hot section and connected with shafting to provide rotation to the hot section. A heating jacket is secured to the hot section for transferring heat from an external source to the hot section. The spacing between the hot and cold sections provides the ability to rebuild the hot section of the pump without removal from the cold section and without removal from the vehicle to which it is attached.
Pump for melted thermoplastic materials
An improvement to surface marking devices for pumping and circulating melted thermoplastic material to various surfaces including roads, parking lots and the like is provided. The pump for melted thermoplastic is comprised of a cold section and a hot section. The hot section is connected to a fluid or electric motor, or alternatively, an internal combustion engine for providing rotation to the pump. The connection to provide rotation to the hot section is through the cold section, which is spaced away from the hot section and connected with shafting to provide rotation to the hot section. A ROAD MARKING AND A METHOD FOR ROAD MARKING
A road marking (10) has bristles (11) extending above a road surface level (12). The bristles (11) are attached below the road surface level (12), leaving a recess (13) between the road surface level (12) and the bristles (11). The recess (13) allows the bristles (11) to bend below the road surface level (12) during snowploughing. The forces exerted to the raised road marking (10) do not pull the bristles (11) or the whole road marking (10) assembly off the road surface.
The bristles (11) may be installed into the road surface by cutting a suitable cavity (15) into the road surface. A bottom portion of the cavity (15) is filled with a fluid adhesive, leaving the surface of the adhesive below the road surface. The bristles (11) are inserted in the fluid adhesive. After the adhesive has been cured, the bristles (11) stand proud from the road surface.

Marking tape, method of applying and method of manufacturing the marking tape
A marking tape for application on pavement which comprises a core layer and an adhesive layer outside the core layer. The core layer is formed of a combination of a conforming layer of a thermoplastic material, a marking layer of a cross-linked material, and a fibrous layer. The conforming layer and the marking layer are contiguous and/or directly interconnected with each other.
Marking tape, method of applying and method of manufacturing the marking tape
A marking tape for application on pavement which comprises a core layer and an adhesive layer outside the core layer. The core layer is formed of a combination of a conforming layer of a thermoplastic material, a marking layer of a cross-linked material, and a fibrous layer. The conforming layer and the marking layer are contiguous and/or directly interconnected with each other.
Wheel stop
An apparatus includes a base having a length in a first direction, a height in a second direction different from the first direction, and a depth in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction. The base includes at least one sidewall having an outer surface, an inner surface, and an edge defining an open end of a cavity within the base. The base also includes a plurality of ribs extending from the inner surface of the at least one sidewall toward the open end of the cavity. The ribs of the plurality of ribs are separated from one another along the first direction. The base further includes at least one tube extending from the inner surface of the at least one sidewall toward the open end of the cavity. The apparatus also includes at least one plaque removably attached to the outer surface of base.
