VISUAL WARNING DEVICES
20220235525 · 2022-07-28 · ·

Visual warning devices that include illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures that break inattentional blindness of observers. The illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures can be mounted on height-adjustable support posts that extend upright from bases. Alternatively the illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures can be provided with magnets to mount the visual warning devices to metal structures. The illuminated rectilinear arachnid structures include pairs of arms that radiate outward from a central head. The arms and central head can be made from a translucent material through which light can be transmitted to illuminate these structures. Lights for illumination can be provided in the heads. The length of the arms can be adjustable, and the arms can be retracted and/or folded into a storage configuration.

Bollard system

A bollard system may include a bollard, a carrier device having a recess adapted to carry the bollard in a stowed configuration, and a pivot rod fixedly secured to the bollard and received by a pivot carrier of the carrier device. The bollard may be adapted to rotate about a longitudinal axis of the pivot rod between a deployed configuration and the stowed configuration. The bollard system may also include a lock plate adapted to be received by the carrier device to maintain the bollard in the deployed configuration. The bollard system may further include a cover plate carried by the carrier device and adapted to cover at least a portion of the recess of the carrier device in both the stowed configuration and the deployed configuration.

Shock Absorbing Retractable Bollard Systems

A barrier system includes a handrail, and a connector to couple the handrail to a post extension that extends upward from a floor. The handrail has and end with a width measured in a direction transverse to an elongate length of the handrail. The connector includes a socket to hold the end of the handrail. The socket is defined by an elongate channel that extends in a direction substantially parallel to the post extension when the connector is attached to the post extension. The channel has a length that is greater than the width of the end of the handrail.

Modular Post

A modular post for use in a barrier system comprises a post component and a base. The post component is configured to be attached or attachable on, to or in the base in a deployed configuration. The post component is configured to be housed within the base when the modular post is in a stored configuration. A method of using a modular post suitable for use in a barrier system is also provided. The method comprises providing a post component and a base. The post component is configured to be attached or attachable on, to or in the base in a deployed configuration. The post component is receivable or configured to be housed within the base when the modular post is in a stored configuration.
