Road safety barrier assembly
12241213 · 2025-03-04 · ·

A road safety barrier assembly has a plurality of elements for re-directing a vehicle which impacts against the road safety barrier, a plurality of supports supporting the re-directing elements, sensors and/or light signaling sources. At least some of the supports each comprise a cavity and are distributed along the road safety barrier. Electronic devices distributed along the road safety barrier are each connected to a sensor and/or to a light signaling source and housed in a cavity of a support. Electric cables extend along the road safety barrier and electrically connect each of the electronic devices. Each cavity of the supports is accessible from outside in order to enable replacement or repair of an electronic device housed internally thereof.

A method for using barrier systems includes positioning a plurality of barrier systems at a location, each barrier system having: a barrier having an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface, the interior surface bounding a chamber that is adapted to receive a ballast; and a light assembly secured to the barrier, the light assembly comprising a housing having a lens that at least partially bounds a compartment, a light source at least partially disposed within the compartment, and programmable circuity in electrical communication with the light emitting device. A control device is used to communicate wirelessly with programmable circuity of each barrier system after the barrier systems are positioned at the location so that data is transferred between the control device and the programmable circuity of each barrier system.

BRIDGE CAP AND FASTENING UNIT FOR FASTENING A BRIDGE CAP
20170022675 · 2017-01-26 ·

A bridge cap which for fastening to a bridge has a fastening unit with a fastener and with a guide device that includes a cylindrical anchor sleeve. This invention also relates to a fastening unit for fastening a bridge cap. A low production and assembly cost is achieved in that the fastening unit is composed of separate individual parts, which in addition to the anchor sleeve, include a separate transition piece that has a first cylindrical section adapted to the diameter of the anchor sleeve and a second cylindrical section oriented away from the first and oriented toward an outside of the bridge cap.

Real time information system for road users

A real time information system provides real time comprehensive information to drivers on roads. It has short-interval units for mounting on a roadside barrier at intervals of 100 m and lower-density master control units at 1 km separations with more comprehensive displays. The short-interval units communicate with a master unit in a local area group. Local sensing of weather and traffic conditions at the master control unit allows advance warnings to drivers with a fast response time in an autonomous manner. The short-interval units have a saddle frame for fitting to the top of a central reservation barrier to allow low-level simple display of LED colour arrangements in a coordinated linear pattern when viewed in sequence by a driver. A subset of the short-interval saddle units, such as every tenth one may additionally have a display screen.

HIGHWAY GUARDRAIL, GUARDRAIL END SECTION, BARRIER WALL, CABLE BARRIER, AND TEMPORARY RAISED PAVEMENT REFLECTORS

A flexible substrate for adhering reflective film and attaching to highway guardrails, guardrail end sections, barrier walls, and cable barrier systems. The flexible material permits the reflector to flex and/or move on impact and thus can withstand impact without breaking or suffering significant damage. The reflectors of the present invention can also increase highway safety and reduce highway maintenance costs.

A mount for a charging station comprising a precast concrete base. The precast concrete base has a bottom surface, a top surface, and a base height. The base height is the distance from the bottom surface to the top surface. The mount further comprises a through hole extending from the bottom surface to the top surface. The through hole is centrally located on the precast concrete base. The mount further comprises a plurality a plurality of non-through holes extending upward from the bottom surface toward the top surface. Each of the plurality of non-through holes has a depth that is less than the base height. Each of the plurality of non-through holes is adapted and configured to enable a user to increase the depth of each of the non-through holes to convert the plurality of non-through holes to a plurality of bollard mounting holes.

A ROAD INFORMATION DISPLAY SIGN APPARATUS

A display sign is for a central reservation barrier in some examples. It has a base to engage a barrier in a manner which envelopes the top surface and downwardly on the opposed side walls. A display with display elements provides information for drivers, and a display drive apparatus is mounted to the base and rotates the display about a vertical axis extending from the base. The drives can have a very low profile, with components being offset with respect to the display longitudinal axis. The drive provides that the display is aligned with a barrier in use when not required but is turned to an optimal angle for visibility by drivers according to the driving conditions. The drive brings the display back to the default in operative position when there is a power outage.
