Snow-clearing trailer (1) having a chassis (5) extending longitudinally in a chassis direction (I-I) and having a drawbar (9). Pivoting means (11) allow the selective pivoting movement of the chassis (5) and the drawbar (9) with respect to one another. A drawbar locking bar (12) of fixed length can be attached to the drawbar (9) and to the chassis (5) so as to immobilize the drawbar (9) on the chassis (5) in a transport position. Detection means (13) generate an attachment signal when the drawbar locking bar (12) is attached to the drawbar (9) and to the chassis (5). The detection means (13) and disabling means are arranged in such a way that when the detection means (13) generate an attachment signal, the disabling means prevent any actuation of the pivoting means (11).

A vehicle accessory hitch assembly for attaching an accessory to a vehicle. The vehicle may include a frame and a bed mounted to the frame. First and second base rails may be disposed on the bed and coupled to the frame of the vehicle, and the vehicle may include a vehicle trailer hitch with a receiver for accepting a shank. In one embodiment, the vehicle accessory hitch assembly may be mechanically connected to each of the first and second base rails and the vehicle trailer hitch such that the vehicle accessory hitch assembly is immovable or stationary relative to the first and second base rails and the vehicle trailer hitch. In another embodiment, the vehicle accessory hitch assembly may be adaptable to connect to differently-configured base rails and vehicle trailer hitch constructions, including different horizontal and vertical spacing between the base rails and the vehicle trailer hitch.

The power connection line traverses through a gasket sealed space between the trunk lid and trunk walls, thereby powering the device without any modification to the automobile. A flexible member connected between the actuator and the blade is operable to raise and lower the blade in a controlled manner under operation of the actuator, while allowing the blade to momentarily trip over ground level obstructions during use. A biasing mechanism forces the blade back into the snow-clearing position once the obstruction is cleared.

The coupling mechanism includes: (i) a first coupling portion attached to the working implement and having at least one coupling channel extending along a coupling axis, the coupling axis alignable parallel with the working direction, and (ii) a second coupling portion attachable to the vehicle, the second coupling portion having at least one arm alignable parallel with the coupling axis for sliding of the at least one arm in a respective coupling channel to releasably interconnect the first and second coupling portions for attachment of the material working implement to the vehicle.
