Method and Device for Pre-Casting Conduit Holes in Building Foundations
A method of constructing multiple conduits in building foundations that eliminates the process of core drilling after the foundation has been poured and set. This method creates optional openings for possible future connections. The process uses removable conduit molds installed before the foundation is poured. Once the foundation has set, conduit molds are removed to explose conduits in the foundation as needed.
Sludge three-dimensional electroosmosis drainage reinforcement method based on electric geotextile complex
Disclosed is a sludge three-dimensional electroosmosis drainage reinforcing method based on a novel electric geotextile complex, and belongs to the field of soft soil foundation reinforcement. A novel electric geotextile complex is adopted, and a designed multidirectional three-dimensional continuous electroosmosis drainage method is adopted to perform rapid drainage reinforcement treatment on sludge, wherein the electric geotextile complex is prepared by combining fibers and conductive materials with a flexible drainage plate and has the effects of electric conductive, drainage, corrosion resistance and reinforcement. The proposed drainage method can realize the electroosmotic drainage in vertical and horizontal directions. Through layer by layer electroosmosis from bottom to top, the consolidation drainage effect of sludge in the lower layer can be enhanced by the increasing loading pressure from the upper sludge. After the vertical electroosmosis is completed, the method of exchange electrode is used to conduct horizontal electroosmosis in opposite direction.
BELOW GRADE, BLIND SIDE, WATERPROOFING SHEET MEMBRANE WITH ADHESIVE AND HAVING IMPROVED LOW REFLECTIVITY GRANULAR PARTICLE LAYER TO FULLY BOND TO CONCRETE/SHOTCRETE, AND A METHOD OF MAKING, AND USING SAME
The present invention relates generally to a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive and low reflectivity granular particle layer to fully bond to concrete/shotcrete, and a method of making, and using same. More particularly, the invention encompasses a below grade, blind side, waterproofing sheet membrane with adhesive, and having at least one layer of low reflectivity granular particle layer that are fully or partly embedded into the adhesive layer, and where the average reflectivity of the exposed granular particles is about 50 or below 55 percent reflectivity on a standard reflectivity scale. The inventive waterproofing layer having the waterproofing sheet membrane, and an adhesive layer having embedded therein low reflectivity granular particles can be used in any building or wall construction, and can be placed under or around a foundation of a building or dwelling or on its below grade blind side retaining walls, etc.

Seawall construction using concrete forms
A method for constructing a seawall section includes coupling an end of a substantially-waterproof barrier member to a footing. A concrete form is mounted to the footing such that a top end of the form is higher than an exposed upper surface of the footing. The concrete form defines at least part of a fill volume. Another end of the barrier member is coupled to the concrete form such that the barrier member extends over a side of the concrete form opposite the fill volume. Concrete is then poured into the fill volume and cured to form the seawall section. Prior to the curing, a body of water at the footing may be higher than the upper surface of the footing. However, the barrier member prevents water from entering the fill volume through the concrete form.
Method of maintaining soil strength and stability
A method of maintaining soil strength and stability involves positioning a sheet of soil stabilization and strengthening material on a selected area where the strengthening and stabilization of the soil is desired. The sheet of soil stabilization and strengthening material includes a fabric layer that forms a base of the soil stabilization and strengthening material. The lower surface of the fabric layer is positioned against and engages the selected area. A moisture impervious layer is coupled to the upper surface of the fabric layer. A particulate aggregate material is embedded in the moisture impervious layer.

FOUNDATION SYSTEM FOR COLLAPSIBLE SOILS
The foundation system includes a below ground rigid raft foundation to bear a load for an above ground structure, and granular cushions and piles formed below the raft foundation. The granular cushions are configured for uniform load distribution of the raft foundation and the piles are configured to bear a load of the above ground structure and the raft foundation. The foundation system further includes stone columns encapsulated with a non-woven geofabric and configured to stabilize the raft foundation. The raft foundation is disposed adjacent and above the stone columns, the granular cushions are present between neighboring stone columns, and the granular cushions are present between the stone columns and the piles. The stone columns have a cementing agent for stabilization.
METHOD OF STRENGTHENING AND WIDENING SUBGRADE WITH GEOCELL BASED ON CONDUCTIVE POLYMER
The invention discloses a method for strengthening and widening subgrade with geocell based on conductive polymer, which belongs to the technical field of road construction. It includes the following steps: slope cutting and bench excavation for the existing embankment slope; leveling for the treated existing subgrade; filling and widening subgrade on the basis of the leveled existing subgrade; compacting the widened subgrade so that the compacted widened subgrade and the leveled existing subgrade are in the same plane; on the widened Subgrade The geocell based on the conductive polymer is tensioned and fixed for the first time; the geocell based on the conductive polymer is compacted to obtain the widened Subgrade of the geocell based on the conductive polymer. It can minimize the possibility of longitudinal cracks between the existing subgrade and the widened subgrade. In addition, it uses the conductivity of geocell based on conductive polymer to provide a material basis for monitoring the risk of cracks at the junction of the existing subgrade and the widened subgrade.
