System and method for controlling a vehicle
A vehicle control system determines an upper non-zero limit on deceleration of a vehicle to prevent rollback of the vehicle down a grade being traveled up on by the vehicle. The upper non-zero limit on deceleration is determined by the controller based on a payload carried by the vehicle, a speed of the vehicle, and a grade of a route being traveled upon by the vehicle. The controller is configured to monitor the deceleration of the vehicle, and to automatically prevent the deceleration of the vehicle from exceeding the upper non-zero limit by controlling one or more of a brake or a motor of the vehicle. The controller also is configured to one or more of actuate the brake or supply current to the motor of the vehicle to prevent rollback of the vehicle while the vehicle is moving up the grade at a non-zero speed.
Construction Vehicle Safety Mechanism
A safety mechanism for use on a vehicle is provided. The safety mechanism comprises a buffer and a sensor that is configured to send an electrical signal to processing circuitry in the vehicle when the sensor is activated. Sufficient movement of the buffer activates the sensor. A drive line may also be provided with the buffer connected to the drive line. Movement of the buffer may cause rotation of the drive line, and sufficient rotation of the drive line may activate the sensor.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM FOR WORKING MACHINE
In a hydraulic system for a working machine, a controller is configured or programmed to increase an output-port pressure of one activation valve for one hydraulic device and an output-port pressure of another activation valve for another hydraulic device to a normal pressure higher than a preloading pressure from a state where the output-port pressure of the one activation valve is equal to the preloading pressure and the output-port pressure of the other activation valve is lower than the preloading pressure, by causing the output-port pressure of the one activation valve to be lower than the preloading pressure and increasing the output-port pressure of the other activation valve to the normal pressure.
Work vehicle
To provide a technique for reliably acquiring a required braking power during travel and for efficiently using a regenerative power generated during braking. A work vehicle calculates a regenerative power outputted from an electric motor and a target hydraulic driving power for driving a hydraulic pump, supplies the regenerative power to the generator motor operating as a motor and makes the generator motor consume the regenerative power in a case where the regenerative power is equal to or smaller than the target hydraulic driving power, and supplies the regenerative power to the generator motor operating as the motor and makes an exhaust brake consume a power equivalent to a difference between the regenerative power and the target hydraulic driving power in a case where the regenerative power is larger than the target hydraulic driving power.
WORK VEHICLE
Provided is a work vehicle capable of satisfying a user's demand to brake performance in a flexible manner. A wheel loader 1 comprises a controller 5 storing a plurality of control characteristics each of which is set such that a brake valve control pressure Pi of a solenoid proportional valve 45 increases as a pedal angle θ of a brake pedal 43 increases, and under the condition where a pedal angle θ is equal to or less than a predetermined pedal angle θ, an increase rate of the brake valve control pressure Pi with respect to the pedal angle θ varies. In a case where the pedal angle θ detected by a potentiometer 33 is equal to or less than the predetermined pedal angle θth, the controller 5, calculates the brake valve control pressure Pi based on the selected one control characteristic.
Hydraulic circuit for an adaptive park braking system and method of operation thereof
A hydraulic circuit for an adaptive park braking system and method of operation thereof. The method of operating an adaptive park braking system includes providing a vehicle having a motor, a front axle system, a rear axle system, wherein the front axle system has one or more front axle braking systems and the rear axle system has one or more rear axle braking systems. Identifying when the vehicle is engaged in a digging operation. Disconnecting the front axle system or the rear axle system from driving engagement with the motor of the vehicle. Activating the one or more braking systems of the disconnect axle system to apply an amount of force to the disconnected axle system of the vehicle. Then applying an amount of torque with the motor to the axle system in driving engagement with the motor.
COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AVOIDING COLLISION OF WORK MACHINE WITH OBSTACLES
A collision avoidance system for a work machine includes at least one sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a presence of at least one obstacle in a surrounding area of the work machine, at least one imaging device, a display device, and a controller. The controller receives the signal indicative of the presence of the obstacle and determines a position of the obstacle relative to the work machine based on the signal received from the sensor. The controller generates a first control signal to prevent a movement of the work machine, halt the movement of the work machine, or reduce a velocity of the work machine based on the determination of the position of the obstacle. The controller generates a second control signal for displaying an updated display view that provides a visual indication of the presence of the obstacle in the surrounding area of the work machine.
