This disclosure relates to a method for disinfecting a space. The method includes spraying a composition containing triethylene glycol into a space containing severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in an amount effective to inactivate SARS-CoV-2.

A wearable disinfecting device includes a skin-protective glove and a disinfecting material. The disinfecting material is attached to the external surface on the palm side of the skin-protective glove. The disinfecting material includes an absorbent material that is at least partially saturated with a disinfecting liquid. The skin-protective glove is chemically resistant to the disinfecting liquid. A protective film that covers the disinfecting material can be releasably attached to the external surface of the skin-protective glove.

The present disclosure provides on-demand agent dispensing patches, kits and related methods. A flexible patch is configured to provide on-demand dispensing of the agent via compression of the patch. The patch comprises: an adhesive layer to removably couple the patch to a surface; at least one reservoir layer overlying the adhesive layer configured to absorb and retain the agent therein; at least one dispenser layer overlying the at least one reservoir layer comprising a plurality of solid portions and an array of a plurality of openings configured to inhibit evaporation of the agent and control a flow of the agent therefrom upon the compression of the patch; and at least one backer layer between the adhesive layer and the at least one reservoir layer being substantially impervious to the agent. The at least one reservoir layer may be void of the agent, which may be provided in a container.

A decontaminating filter table for decontaminating exhaled or ambient air is provided. The table includes an input air grille; a first air trough in fluidic connection with the input air grille; a second air trough in fluidic connection with the first air trough; and a HEPA filter for filtering the decontaminated air. The table also includes an air mover for drawing the exhaled air through the first and second air troughs and through the HEPA filter. In addition, the table includes a scrubber for decontaminating the exhaled air and a visual/audio indicator for monitoring air flow through the first and second troughs.

A disinfecting floor mat having a disinfecting wet station (or wet side) onto which a user may step and wet the bottoms of his/her shoes with a disinfecting and/or cleaning solution are described. The wet section can comprise a shallow pool over which an elastomeric cover is provided that has small holes. slits or other openings distributed thereon permitting the solution to flow therethrough when the cover is stepped upon to make contact with the shallow pool bottom. A reservoir of cleaning solution can be provided that is in fluid communication with the shallow pool to help ensure it remains full. Optionally, the floor mat can further include a drying section (or dry side) located next to the wet section to permit a user to substantially dry the bottoms of his/her shoes after disinfecting the shoe bottoms in the wet section.

An apparatus includes a notification unit configured to notify a user of information, and a controller configured to identify at least one unit based on an operation performed by the user among a plurality of units included in the apparatus, wherein the notification unit can notify the user of first information indicating the identified at least one unit and second information regarding disinfection of the identified at least one unit.

A substrate having an antibacterial surface includes a chitosan matrix and water-stable metal-organic frameworks dispersed throughout the chitosan matrix. The water-stable metal-organic frameworks are present in an amount of 5% wt/wt to 20% wt/wt based on total solids of the substrate.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a door-mounted control unit comprising a door panel having one or more directional intake vents at a floor-level of the door panel, an interior chamber housing a blower fan and one or more germicidal irradiation/inactivation means, and one or more directional output vents at a head level of the door panel.

A reusable urinary catheter assembly comprises a storage container defining a cavity, a hydration liquid and a reusable urinary catheter. The hydration liquid includes a disinfection medium and a hydrophilic polymer. The viscosity of the hydration liquid is 40 cP or lower. The reusable urinary catheter includes a shaft, and at least a part of the shaft is provided with a hydrophilic surface. During storage, the shaft is enclosed within the cavity in a storage position. The hydration fluid hydrates and regenerates the hydrophilic surface and disinfects the catheter. The catheter is configured to be repeatedly inserted into and removed from the storage container.

A portable sanitizing container; the portable sanitizing container includes a container having a body, a lid having an aperture, a rubber flap covering the aperture and having a series of slits, and an inner volume housing an elongated sponge impregnated with a liquid disinfectant. The elongated sponge is configured to disperse the liquid disinfectant along an outer surface of an item to substantially disinfect an outer surface of the item. The container is configured to receive an item such as a handheld utensil through the aperture, the rubber flap, and the elongated sponge respectively and sanitize the item as the at least one item is inserted and removed from the container. The portable sanitizing container may be beneficial for use by a user to eliminate pathogens, germs and harmful bacteria on shared utensils.
