To provide for a compact douche toilet fulfilling the requirements of DIN EN 1717, the safety device includes a damage opening arranged below an upper edge of the toilet opening.

Air-gap faucet

An air-gap device integrated within a faucet base of a faucet fixture for use with a dishwashing device is disposable on a counter surface and includes: a base forming flow channels adapted to provide a fluid-tight seal at the surface; a fixed block wall extending from the base, the fixed block wall separating a first pair of flow channels from a second pair of flow channels and providing a fluid-tight seal for the first pair of the flow channels; and a removable block cover selectively attachable to the fixed block wall to fluidicly couple the second pair of flow channels, the block cover further forming an air-gap channel in fluidic communication with ambient. Modular design permits removal of the faucet and valve portion to access the air-gap device for maintenance, without the need to disconnect any fluid supply or waste lines.

Secondary water supply system for a waste disposal

In one aspect, a water supply system for a waste disposal may include first and second supply conduits fluidly connected to separate water supplies, with the first supply conduit having a first discharge end and the second supply conduit having a second discharge end. The system may also include a disposal conduit fluidly connected to the first and second supply conduits. The disposal conduit may be spaced apart from the first and second conduits such that an air gap is defined between an inlet end of the disposal conduit and the first and second discharge ends. The inlet end may be configured to receive water expelled from the first and second supply conduits. Moreover, an outlet end of the disposal conduit may be configured to be in fluid communication with an inlet of the waste disposal such that water directed through the disposal conduit is received within the disposal.

Vacuum Breaker

A vacuum breaker having a supporting rib and a skirted section is disclosed. The supporting rib is configured to be axially aligned with air slots in an outlet tube and provide a more robust vacuum breaker sleeve under extreme operating conditions. The skirted section can prevent leakage through air slots during high back pressure operating conditions.

Water Pump With Safe Cross Connection
20170107706 · 2017-04-20 ·

A unique piping arrangement of a water pump system is designed to prevent backflow of non-potable liquid into a potable water source thereby complying with plumbing codes to provide a safe cross connection. These codes are required when a water ejector uses pressurized potable water as an energy source. When the water ejector valve is open due to a high sump level and when the potable water pressure drops below atmospheric, the non-potable liquid can be siphoned into the potable water source thereby causing contamination, a significant unsafe health hazard to consumers. The present invention complies with plumbing codes by creating the required vertical air gap from the potable water source down to the non-potable liquid in the discharge piping as well as the inlet piping, the sources of contamination. In the piping arrangement are vents and drains to create the required air gap and transparent piping to provide required inspection and verification of proper operation. The water ejector is commonly used as a back-up to a traditional electric sump pump. The invention provides simplicity to maximize system reliability. Two kits of commonly used applications, a residential full basement back-up water ejector sump pump and a residential crawlspace back-up water ejector sump pump, are described.

A water capturing device is provided having a body which is operatively engageable with a spigot assembly having a spigot with a vacuum breaker thereon. An axial passage of the body of the device, when in operative engagement, collects and redirects water expelled from the vacuum breaker downward out a discharge opening where it may be collected and used elsewhere. A reservoir may be positioned to collect water from said discharge opening. The reservoir may be fluidly coupled with a fluid container to collect the water therein for transport and use.

REMOTE AIR GAP ASSEMBLIES

Fluid detection systems and methods using the same are disclosed. In embodiments the fluid detection systems include a sensor module and an electronics module. The sensor module includes a sensor housing that includes a liquid flow path and a sensor element disposed around at least part of the liquid flow path. The sensor element can detect a capacitance of the liquid flow path and provide a sensor signal to a controller in the electronics module. The electronics module can determine a detected capacitance in the liquid flow path based at least in part on the sensor signal, and can determine whether a wet event has occurred based on a comparison of the detected capacitance to a threshold capacitance. Methods using the fluid detection systems and fluid supply systems including the fluid detection systems are also disclosed.
