Accuracy enhancing valve assembly and method

A device and method to improve accuracy of a water meter where a fluid is introduced into a valve assembly having an external casing. The fluid contacts a toggle stopper having a shaft, plate, and guides. A calibrated spring positioned around the shaft in contact with the plate assesses if the desired fluid meets a predetermined pressure. If yes, the calibrated spring compresses thereby toggling the plate within the chamber to allow desired fluid to enter the chamber. If no, the calibrated spring remains in an expanded state to seal the valve assembly. Upon such seal, there is an equalizing of both the desired and undesired fluids to the same pressure by decreasing the volume of the undesired fluid, causing the calibrated spring to compress and reopen.

Global backflow prevention assembly

A backflow prevention assembly for global use with dispensers requiring a variety of backflow prevention devices based on regulatory standards is provided. The assembly includes a housing comprising first and second housing members and including quick connector attachments extending therefrom. The quick connector attachments are non-threaded members configured to be attached to the various measurement and types of connections found throughout the world. A cover is provided for venting purposes to reduce the backflow siphoning forces or pressure, which causes the backflow of a product chemistry. Furthermore, a backflow prevention device is configured to be fluidly coupled to the housing of the present invention to provide for one way flow and the prevention of backflow of a product chemistry into a water supply. The flow control may be selected based on the regulatory standards of the location used.

Toilet

Disclosed is a nonreturn device for a pipe for carrying a fluid, including a shut-off valve provided with actuating element including a device for accumulating/releasing potential energy, a nonreturn valve designed to maintain a pressure difference P between its inlet and its outlet, and a triggering piston, the internal volume of which is divided into two chambers by a mobile element which is equipped with an activation rod; the first and second chambers are in fluidic communication with the pipe, respectively upstream and downstream of the nonreturn valve; and the activation rod of the triggering piston is designed to be able to actuate the shut-off valve in order to move it from its inactive position into its active position if the pressure difference P drops below a predetermined threshold value, with the release of the potential energy accumulated in the device.

Spill-resistant vacuum breaker valve
10273670 · 2019-04-30 · ·

A spill-resistant vacuum breaker valve that includes a check assembly positioned in a valve body and is movable between an open position for allowing water to flow into the valve body through the water inlet and out of the valve body through the water outlet, and a closed position for preventing water from flowing out of the valve body through the water outlet. The check assembly cooperates with a float assembly movable by movement of the check assembly between an open position allowing air to enter the valve body through the air inlet and a closed position sealing the valve body against flow of air into the valve body through the air inlet. The float assembly is adapted to pivot sufficiently to level the float and seal against ejection of water from the valve in the event of non-axial movement of the check assembly in the valve body.

Tub wall mounted spout

Device for preventing backflow
10145092 · 2018-12-04 · ·

A backflow prevention device including a tank inside of and moveable relative to a housing. A cap coupled to the housing and including inlet and outlet chambers fluidly connected through an inlet, the outlet chamber communicating with the tank. A shell is connected to the cap and includes a shell inlet chamber, which communicates with a first outlet hole of the inlet chamber, and a second outlet hole, which communicates with the tank. An inlet sealing member opens/closes the inlet to fluidly connect/disconnect the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber; and an outlet hole sealing member is moveable with the tank to open/close the second outlet hole. Closing the second outlet hole prevents water from flowing through the second outlet hole and switches the inlet from open to closed. Opening the second outlet hole allows water to flow through the second outlet hole and switches the inlet to open.
