Device for recovering thermal energy from a flow of wastewater from a basin includes a plate heat exchanger traversed by two separate fluid flows and a bypass conduit providing a hydraulic connection. A first inlet of the heat exchanger is placed in a fluid communication with the wastewater outflow opening of the basin to provide a first flow passing through the heat exchanger between the first inlet and a first outlet of the heat exchanger connected to the sewer. A second inlet of the heat exchanger is placed in a fluid communication with a clean water conduit under a water supply network pressure to provide a second flow passing through the heat exchanger without mixing with the first flow, and between the second inlet and a second outlet of the heat exchanger. The bypass conduit provides a bypass between the first inlet of the heat exchanger and the sewer.

Modular support system for plumbing connections
10605383 · 2020-03-31 ·

The presently disclosed technology generally provides a modular support system for plumbing connections. In one example, the system includes a frame, a connector that fits entirely in front of a support stud, and an optional housing. The frame includes symmetrical sides, each including a rail assembly. The connector includes first opposed sidewalls, each having a pair of boxways that receive the rails on any side of a frame unit to form a sliding joint between the frame and connector. Second opposed sidewalls include flexible tabs that engage frame corner flanges to prevent rearward disengagement of the connector from the frame. The housing includes structure for connection with the frame. The housing can be rotated for connection with the frame to receive vertical or horizontal plumbing lines. Connectors can connect the frame units in vertical or horizontal relation, or on either side of a building stud, or to brackets.

DRAIN PIPE CONNECTOR SYSTEM
20240026668 · 2024-01-25 ·

A drain pipe connector adapted to be disposed between a drain portal of a plumbing fixture and a sewage pipe. The drain pipe connector includes a first unidirectional valve adapted to be in fluid communication with the drain portal, and a drain trap in connected to the first unidirectional valve and adapted to be connected to the sewage pipe. The first unidirectional valve has a closed operative orientation, in which the first unidirectional valve forms a seal between the drain portal and the drain trap, and an open operative orientation which enables flow of fluid from the drain portal, via the first unidirectional valve, into the drain trap. The first unidirectional valve is normally closed, and when liquid drains into the first unidirectional valve, pressure applied by the liquid transitions the first unidirectional valve from the closed operative orientation to the open operative orientation, thereby enabling the liquid to flow into the drain trap.

Automated plumbing system sensor warning system and method

A standing water alert system comprises two conductive wires or a float extending into a drain and connected to an audible or visual alarm that is triggered when standing water is present. A drain alert system and method comprises a plurality of sensors, such as pressure or acoustic/vibration sensors, at various locations within a plumbing or fluid filtration system to measure pressure or an acoustic profile at that location and a control system to compare the measured parameters to a threshold value or range and/or to other measured parameters from nearby sensor locations. A signal is sent to a remote user or computer or an alarm is triggered when the comparison shows a potential blockage, a leak, or indicating that a filter needs to be replaced or cleaned. An approximate location of the blockage, leak, or fouled filter is determined by comparing measured parameters at nearby sensor locations.

Bathroom fixtures and components

A bathroom module is disclosed. The bathroom module comprises a shower area, a toilet area, a grooming area, and plumbing inlet lines. The shower area comprises a shower head, a control valve assembly, and a drain. The toilet area comprises a toilet assembly. The toilet area and the shower area are separated from each other by a first wall. The grooming area comprises a sink assembly that comprises a faucet. The grooming area is separated from the shower area and the toilet area by a second wall. The second wall is substantially perpendicular to the first wall. Plumbing inlet lines are disposed within the first wall and the second wall and configured to supply water to the control valve assembly, the shower head, the toilet assembly, and the faucet.

A drain treatment system includes a supply interface, a drainage interface, a water distribution assembly, a pod housing, and a controller. The supply interface is configured to connect to a water supply, the drainage interface is configured to connect to a drain, and the distribution assembly is configured to receive water from the water supply via the supply interface. The pod housing is configured to retain at least one pod containing a drain treatment compound, and the controller is configured to control a transfer of the water from the water distribution assembly to the pod housing, wherein the water is configured to carry the drain treatment compound from the at least one pod to the drainage interface for delivery to the drain.

Safety cleanout cap

This safety cleanout cap system provides for the removal of water and debris from drains. It consists of a flow channel having sidewalls, a turning segment and a downward bend. The turning segment is on the same lateral plane as the safety cleanout cap and has left and right side depressions that extend above the downward bend. The depressions have tracks that are formed to diverge inwardly between top and bottom lateral edges and cooperatively receive and prevent tools from upward and downward movement along the sidewalls of the flow channel. The safety cleanout cap can be attached to pipe fittings in order to regulate the flow of fluid in compressed spaces.
