Removable trap with latch clamps
10808387 · 2020-10-20 · ·

A removable trap for lavatory sinks is provided to enable new technologies to be incorporated into just the water trap portion of the sink trap to maximize the performance of the trap in infection control, while at the same time preserving the trap performance features demanded by major building codes. While a traditional P-trap requires the removal of the entire trap for cleaning or replacement, the removable trap presented in this application allows for easy removal of just the U-bend portion of the trap by releasing latch clamps. The U-bend containing the water is the most vulnerable to attack to cleaning chemicals as well as the most effective locus of innovation in materials and methods employed to reduce infectious bacteria forming biofilms within the lavatory trap.

Pipe coupling assembly

A pipe coupling assembly for coupling a first end portion of a first pipe with a second pipe includes a socket formed on an end of the second pipe and a locking ring. The socket includes a rim defining an end opening through which at least a portion of the first end portion is inserted, the rim including a rim sealing surface adapted to form a liquid-tight seal around the first end portion. The socket also includes a sleeve portion having an exterior surface and an interior surface defining an interior space for receiving the first end portion, the interior surface comprising at least two socket sealing surfaces adapted to form a liquid-tight seal around the first end portion. The locking ring is adapted to cause the rim sealing surface to compress to form a liquid-tight seal around the first end portion.

Disclosed is a water seal device for removing odour of a toilet. The water seal device is mounted in a toilet tank, and consists of an exhaust assembly, a water seal backflow assembly and an electronic control assembly. The device is provided with a powerful exhaust electric motor. After starting, the electronic control assembly supplies power to the exhaust electric motor, and the exhaust electric motor can inhale a gas in a bowl into the tank. Water in a U-shaped trap water seal is pushed and pressed out by means of the gas pressure. When the toilet discharges sewage, the electronic control assembly automatically cuts a power supply, and the exhaust electric motor stops working, and the U-shaped trap water loses the pressure to block gas return.

PLUMBING DRAIN TRAP TREATMENT AND METHOD OF USE
20200208386 · 2020-07-02 ·

A plumbing drain trap treatment mixture is disclosed. The mixture is poured into a plumbing drain trap to form a layer of the mixture that floats on top of the water in the trap. The mixture layer forms a boundary to prevent evaporation of the water from the trap, thereby maintaining the water in the trap to prevent sewer gas infiltration and pest infiltration to the building. The anti-pest and antimicrobial properties of the mixture may serve to further prevent migration of pests from the sewage drain beyond the trap through the plumbing trap and into the building and/or to protect the barrier itself from microbial infestation. A method of use of a treatment for a plumbing drain trap is also disclosed.

Contamination barrier for plumbing systems and method of using same

A contamination unit for isolating a building from contamination of a sewer is disclosed. The contamination unit includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet, a trap assembly, and a fluid trigger. The inlet is in fluid communication with a fluid source, plumbing equipment, and/or condensating equipment to receive fluid. The housing has a reservoir to collect the fluid therein and to define a reservoir portion of a contamination barrier about the outlet. The trap assembly includes a trap conduit between the outlet and the sewer that is shaped to collect the fluid therein and define a trap portion of the contamination barrier. The fluid trigger is positionable about the housing to selectively release the fluid through the inlet and into the reservoir of the housing whereby the fluid in the contamination barrier is maintained to prevent the contamination from passing from the sewer into the building.

Drainage system for a sink
10655311 · 2020-05-19 ·

The present invention is a drainage system for a sink that has a drainage pipe and a drainage box. Drainage pipe connects sink and drainage box and has a substantial portion longitudinal which occupies less space under sink and provide more useful area for stacking or storage. Drainage box is fitted under sink and eases periodic maintenances and chock up/article removal without the need to dismantle drainage pipe by providing an openable outlet. Drainage box includes an inlet hole for receiving drainage pipe which disburses liquid and solid wastes therewithin, an outlet hole which is in fluid communication with a drainage outlet provided on the wall for exit of liquid wastes and an openable outlet to remove solid wastes. Openable outlet is easy to open and hence eliminates the need for calling a plumber in event of chock up or for removing accidentally fallen articles such as rings.
