Sterile site apparatus, system, and method of using the same
Apparatus, system, and methods are provided for reducing infectious agents at a sterile site by preventing infectious agents from coming into contact with the sterile site. A barrier is produced for infectious agents that may come in proximity or otherwise communicate with the site. The apparatus is configured to create a void-free barrier in which infectious agents are reduced with minimal exposure of potentially harmful effects of the barrier to the sterile site, objects, or users of the apparatus.
Pipette carousel with germicidal lamp
An apparatus for decontaminating and storing lab instruments such as pipettes. A carousel feature of the apparatus provides convenient access and allows multiple items to be decontaminated at the same time. The ultraviolet lamp directs UV radiation to surface contaminations of the instruments and effectively eliminates various microorganisms.
OPERATOR SHIELDED MANUALLY TRANSPORTABLE ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION CART
A mobile body is configured to travel an area optionally over a surface inside an aircraft cabin. Components comprise at least one of a UVC protective shield, the shield selectively providing a multisided enclosure that selectively envelopes and/or separates the operator from the UVC in the surrounding environment. A source of UV radiation is mounted to the mobile body and configured to direct UV radiation to the surface at a predetermined dosage. At least two articulated arms are mounted to the mobile body, and UV lamps mounted respectively on the arms. The mobile body is a trolley or cart for negotiating an area optionally an aircraft aisle.
Fluid storage reservoir
A method of storing a product that contains a volatile component within a fluid storage reservoir formed with enclosing walls having a permeability that permits limited passage of the volatile component from the storage reservoir to the atmosphere, preferably with the method increasing the shelf life of the product stored, and a fluid storage reservoir with a first container containing the fluid product to be dispensed including the volatile component and a second container containing a sacrifice material including the same volatile component with an intermediate transfer wall shared by both the first container and the second container for transfer of the volatile component between the first container and the second container. The product preferably is a surface cleaner or a hand sanitizer including 30 to 95% ethanol.
DEFINED REMOVAL SITE ON STERILE BLISTER PACK
A system and method for systematic, controlled removal of sterile products from blister packs for use during surgery is disclosed.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE SANITIZING CASE
A sanitizing case for electronic devices such as a portable listening device or mobile device. The sanitizing case comprises at least one UVC light source that exposes the electronic device in the case for a suitable period of time to destroy microorganisms. The case may also comprise a power switch to control the at least one UVC light source. The case may further include a power source to power the light source, as well as charge the electronic device. The invention provides a method for sanitizing electronic devices by exposing the device to UVC light for a predetermined period of time. The invention also provides a program or a mobile application that is capable of turning on and off the light source and setting the time of exposure.
Apparatus for rapid disinfection of personal items
Disinfectors that are touchless, high speed, or both for personal electronic devices and the like. A housing defines an internal volume including a disinfection zone and an object entry port of a size to permit entry by an object of interest with exposed surface area. At least one emitter projects a stripe of UV-C light into the disinfection zone. A drive under the control or a controller transport causes relative movement between the object and the emitter to expose the surface area to greater than 3 mJ/cm.sup.2 of UV-C light in less than 90 seconds.
Ultraviolet shielding devices, systems, and methods
A UV shielding device including a sanitizing interface having a top surface arranged to support footwear positioned above the sanitizing interface. The sanitizing interface including a translucent material arranged to allow UV light to pass through. The UV shielding device including a sensor arranged to detect a presence of the footwear and a UV emitter arranged to emit the UV light toward the footwear and through the sanitizing interface. The device also including an adjustable UV shield positioned adjacent to the sanitizing interface and arranged to conform substantially to a shape of the footwear positioned above the sanitizing interface, where the UV shield includes a first perimeter positioned in close proximity laterally to a perimeter of a sole of the footwear.
Disinfectant pouch with fluid control
A disinfectant device including a pouch, the pouch including a first layer of material coupled to a second layer of material and defining a compartment therebetween. At least one dry reactant is retained within the compartment, the at least one dry reactant producing chlorine dioxide gas when exposed to water. A wick is at least partially disposed within the compartment. At least one from the group consisting of the first layer of material and the second layer of material define an array of ports along a periphery of the pouch and an array of fluid conduits, the array of fluid conduits being proximal to the array of ports, offset from the array of ports, in fluid communication with the wick, the compartment, and the array of ports.
