METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DECONTAMINATING AN ENVIRONMENT BY MEANS OF OZONE
20220111101 · 2022-04-14 · ·

A method for decontaminating an environment includes measuring an ozone concentration value present inside the environment and repeatedly carrying out a sequence of steps comprising: increasing the quantity of ozone present in the environment until the measured ozone concentration value reaches a first value and lowering the quantity of ozone present in the environment until the measured ozone concentration value reaches a second value lower than the first value.

DISINFECTION DEVICES AND METHODS USING THE SAME

Disinfection devices and methods of using the same are described. In embodiments the disinfection devices include a base, a lid, a sanitizing gas supply, a sanitization chamber with an exhaust port and chamber opening, and a fan. When the lid is closed the fan can operate in a first (low flow, high static pressure) flow condition, during which gas may flow through the device at a first (relatively low) flow rate. When the lid is open the fan can operate in a second (high flow, low static pressure) flow condition, during which the fan may exhaust all or substantially all sanitizing gas in the sanitization chamber through the exhaust port over a short exhaust period. The systems and methods can enable a user to rapidly access an article being sanitized with little or no risk of exposure to the sanitizing gas, even when a disinfection operation is in process.

Various embodiments of the devices and methods also provide for accelerated degradation of the ozone upon sterilization. The methods can include identifying enclosed spaces, sterilizing enclosed spaces through ozone generation, generating reports and transmitting the reports. The sterilization unit disclosed herein can sterilize a plurality of enclosed spaces, such as a fleet of medical response vehicles.

IONIC OXIDATION REFRESHING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20220072170 · 2022-03-10 ·

An ionic oxidation refreshing system for refreshing an odorized item, comprising an enclosure with an airflow system to contact the odorized item on all sides; an ionization system that produces a positively charged ionized ozone gas mixture inside of the enclosure, killing germs, including odor-causing bacteria, viruses, molds, and fungus, and provides the odorized item inside the enclosure with a net positive charge; a filter that neutralizes and filters out any toxic by-products; an electrostatic liquid atomization system that creates a fine mist of a quick-cleaning solution, and, in conjunction with the airflow system, causes solution droplets to penetrate deep into the odorized item and agitate a surface of the odorized item, ensuring the formula is evenly delivered onto the odorized item without over saturating any area.

DEVICE FOR ISOLATION, CLEANING, DRYING, DECONTAMINATION AND SANITIZATION OF CONTAMINATED COMPONENTS
20210308313 · 2021-10-07 ·

The present invention relates to a device for isolating and cleaning contaminated components comprising a chamber, an entrance door through which components to be isolated and cleaned are introducible into the chamber, means configured to deliver washing solution into the chamber and onto the components to be cleaned, a drying system configured to dry the chamber as well as its content, wherein the device further comprises an exhaust filter system attached to the air exhaust of the chamber, the exhaust filter system comprising a pipe, at least one filter and a blower, the exhaust filter system being configured to be able to bring the chamber under a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure by means of the blower all the time the chamber is closed. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method for isolating and cleaning contaminated components with the aforementioned device.

Sterilization method and apparatus

Disclosed is a method of sterilizing an article by sequentially exposing the article under vacuum first to a gaseous conditioning agent for forming radicals and then to a sterilant. The preferred conditioning agent is hydrogen peroxide and the preferred sterilant is ozone. The chamber is initially evacuated to a first vacuum pressure and then sealed for the remainder of the sterilization process and during all sterilant injection cycles, without removal of any component of the sterilization atmosphere, which means without any measures to reduce the water vapor content. Keeping the chamber sealed and maintaining the conditioning agent and the radicals generated thereby in the chamber for the sterilization with sterilant results in a synergistic increase in the sterilization efficiency and allows for the use of much lower sterilant amounts and sterilization cycle times than would be expected from using the conditioning agent and the sterilant in combination.

Sterilization Method Using Plasma
20210236674 · 2021-08-05 ·

Sterilization method using plasma for sterilizing objects, wherein it is provided to introduce the objects to be sterilized into a sterilization chamber (13) and covey toward the latter a flow of air coming from a feed pipe (17) on which a plasma generator device (12) is disposed able to generate one or more gaseous compounds comprising a mixture of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and of reactive nitrogen species (RNS) so that the air is the carrier fluid which conveys the gaseous compounds toward the sterilization chamber (13); the method also provides to control the electric power used to produce the plasma as a function of the composition and/or the quantity of reactive species present in the sterilization chamber (13).
