A method for sterilizing viruses comprises generating a beam having radiating energy therein at a predetermined frequency for generating mechanical eigen-vibrations in a spherical virus to destroy the spherical virus and a predetermined cartesian beam intensity for imparting transverse shear forces to an icosahedral lattice structure of the spherical virus to destroy the icosahedral lattice structure of the spherical virus using beam generation circuitry. A resonance frequency of the spherical virus for inducing the mechanical eigen-vibrations in the spherical virus is determined based upon a size, geometry, and protein material of the spherical virus using a predetermined three-dimensional acoustical model of mechanical vibrations within the spherical virus. The beam generation at the predetermined frequency and the predetermined cartesian beam intensity is controlled using a controller responsive to the determined resonance frequency. The predetermined frequency equals the resonance frequency of the spherical virus. The beam on is radiated a predetermined area to destroy the spherical virus at the predetermined area using radiating circuitry. The mechanical eigen-vibrations at the resonance frequency of the spherical virus determined by the predetermined three-dimensional acoustical model are induced within the spherical virus to destroy the spherical virus responsive to the predetermined frequency. The transverse shear forces are imparted to the icosahedral lattice structure of the spherical virus to destroy the icosahedral lattice structure of the spherical virus.

Sanitizing surfaces in a location related to aircraft. There are multiple rows of seats. A sanitization device includes a mobile body configured to travel along the aisle of the aircraft. An arm extends from the sanitization device laterally from the mobile body across the seats, and a source of UV radiation mounted on the sanitization device is directed across the seats exposing surfaces in the passenger area to UV radiation. There can be a unit hand operated, pushed down the aisle by hand, wings deployed and stowed by hand. There can be a plug in version with long extension cords that a human can keep from tangling. The operator can be protected with skin and eye protective gear and there can be remote control by an operator standing nearby.

AUTONOMOUS UVC DISINFECTION ROBOT FOR MASS TRANSPORTATION

The invention is an air and surface disinfection robot designed to autonomously move through incredibly narrow spaces, specific to mass transportation vehicles such as aircraft, trains, busses, or ferries. The robot includes modes to operate in the spaces associated with transportation, such as waiting areas, bathrooms and narrow entry and exit ways.

In the transportation industry, turn around time (the time between two planned trips), is often incredibly short. Existing designs do not allow for a fast enough loading, setup and run time. This invention has been designed to optimize the portability, maneuverability, connectivity (data) and ease of use from other devices designed to disinfect such vehicles.

The invention uses UVC (germicidal) lamps, a proven technology for disinfecting pathogens. The design has been optimized by using a unique open cage design, so the light will transmit from all directions with minimal absorption to components on the device. This in combination with the lamp pattern and the robotics results in a very precise UVC light emission required for adequate, consistent disinfection of the surfaces and the air of mass transportation vehicles.

Finally, the invention consists of real time data streaming and remote operation as data is published through a connected cloud service and then onto the subscribed users.

PORTABLE UV-C DISINFECTION APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM

A portable UV-C disinfection apparatus, method, and system for ultraviolet germicidal irradiation. UV-C emitters may be coupled to an array housing having a planar array surface in a vertical configuration. UV-C sensors are configured to measure the amount of UV-C light or near UV-C light from a target surface. A controller may be communicably engaged with the UV-C sensors to determine the amount of UV-C radiation collected by the UV-C sensors. The controller includes instructions stored on a memory according to the amount of UV-C radiation collected corresponding to an effective kill-dose for surface disinfection. The improved apparatus, method, and system reduces exposure time by varying the intensity and wavelength of the UV-C administered, while concurrently reducing UV overexposure to surfaces by administering radiation through a rotational zonal application.

Apparatus for Generation of Air-Borne Spray to Remove Malodor and Contamination

There is provided a system and method of cleaning surfaces of an enclosable environment of a contamination comprising a microbial and viral load. The method includes the steps of sealing the enclosable environment and placing water, and a solid or gel pack, into a container and generating a vortex the container by rotating an impeller. The agitation causes the solid or gel pack to release a gaseous cleaning agent. An air-borne spray exiting from the container spreads throughout the enclosable environment to contact the surfaces to be cleaned within the enclosable environment. The enclosable environment is maintained closed for an effective time period while the air-borne spray dwells on the surfaces to eliminate or substantially reduce the load of the contamination.

MEDIA SANITIZING CASSETTE AND METHOD OF OPERATION

A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.
