Flange connector for concrete structural component
A flange connector is embedded in precast concrete structural member for use in joining adjacent concrete members together, wherein the flange connector is characterized by a center plate and legs extending back from each side of the center plate. Each of the legs is provided with projections extending from the top edge and bottom edge of the leg, in the same plane defined by the height and length of the leg. The projections extending from the top edge and the bottom edge of the leg may be mirror images of each other, so that the cross-sectional area of the leg is substantially the same over the portion of the leg with the projections. The legs of the flange connector may incorporate additional enhancements to increase the resistance to pull out, including a neck formed by notches in the top and bottom of each leg, adjacent the transition region extending from the center plate and one or more embossments creating a convex area on one side of each leg and a concave area on the opposite side of each leg.
Modular Precast Concrete Water Storage Device and System
A modular precast concrete structure system to form a portion of a subsurface storage basin, the system including a concrete slab having a first edge and opposite second edge, and a first concrete side wall having an outer surface extending from the first edge substantially perpendicularly to the concrete slab, and a second concrete side wall having an outer surface extending from the second edge substantially perpendicularly to the concrete slab, the outer surfaces of the first and second concrete side walls being configured to be substantially parallel, each of the first and second side walls being configured with canted inner surfaces such that the first and second side walls taper in thickness away from the slab, and a plurality of footings each configured with a footing groove along an upper surface thereof, the footing grooves configured to receive a bottom edge of at least one of the first and second side walls therein.
CONCRETE PANEL RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD
Precast concrete residences resist great hurricane wind forces and moderate seismic forces. The entire residential structure, excluding the slab on grade are made from plant-cast concrete panels. Foundation panel joints are designed at the center of the precast wall panels to assure proper load-distribution from the walls to the foundation. Using a precast foundation greatly increases the speed of construction. All structural elements are field-bolted together. An interior wall track design allows engineered, prefabricated interior wall panels to roll into the home and “tip up” into place without wedging between the floor and ceiling.
Oncology vault structure
A plurality of wall cells rest upon an underlying cementitious foundation and form a perimeter of the vault. Each wall cell has two lateral sides with mating surfaces thereon which are of complementary undulating shape with adjacent lateral surfaces of adjacent wall cells. The wall cells have different thicknesses and widths to provide desirable wall thickness for a different portions of the oncology vault. A door assembly formed of specialized wall cells and with a pivoting door element are also included within the wall. A ceiling is provided above space inboard of the wall cells. This ceiling is formed of separate ceiling slab elements. The slabs are stacked in at least one layer. In one embodiment, multiple layers of slabs are stacked with seams between slabs of each layer offset from each other. In another embodiment, lateral sides of the slabs have a complementary undulating shape.
Metal shear connector structure for adjacent concrete panels
Adjacent concrete wall panels are connected at the vertical joint by a shear connector structure that includes a metal connector angle embedded in a corner portion of one of the panels, and one or more threaded nuts or studs are welded to a flange of the angle. A metal shear connector plate has a hole for each threaded nut or stud and elongated holes or slots for the other concrete panel. After the panels are erected and positioned, the connector plate is bolted to the studs and self-tapping concrete anchor screws are inserted into the slots and threaded into holes formed in the other panel. The studs are formed by machinery weld studs to form a bore with threads at the welded end of each stud.
PRECAST BUILDING PANEL
A method of constructing a reinforced concrete floor structure or wall structure, including: fabricating a precast panel substantially from concrete including a first set of parallel conduits extending through the panel, wherein the conduits open to opposite sides of the panel; moving the panel into its final position on a building site; and inserting tensioning cables through the conduits and tensioning the precast panel in the direction of the conduits to form a reinforced floor structure or wall structure, and a dowel connecting system for joining adjacent precast building panels, the system comprising elongated hollow dowel members cast in at the edges of two or more precast building panels such that when the building panels are positioned adjacent to each other their respective dowel members are co-linearly aligned; and a dowel piece to be inserted into a recess of the co-linearly aligned dowel members and to extend across the building panels, wherein the recess of the dowel members is adapted to be filled with grout to anchor the dowel piece therein and thereby structurally joining adjacent building panels.
Composite construction for secure compartmentalized enclosure
Disclosed are various secure enclosures and associated composite construction methods. The described enclosures preferably utilize one or more prefabricated concrete walls that are mated to one or more metal panels. The panels include hollow ends that are secured to anchors formed within the prefabricated walls. This connection joins the concrete wall and the metal panel in a secure and tamper proof manner. The disclosed methods allow enclosures to be quickly constructed and easily configured depending upon the particular needs of the facility. The enclosures are cost effective, scalable, and easy to assemble.
ASSEMBLY CHANNEL EMBEDDED IN CONCRETE STRUCTURE
An assembly channel embedded in a concrete structure includes: bolts coupled to a bracket adapted to support an object to be supported; a support member open on top thereof and having both side ends bent inwardly therefrom in such a manner as to prevent heads of the bolts inserted thereinto from being escaped therefrom; a fixed member fixedly coupled to the underside of the support member in such a manner as to be embedded in the concrete structure; at least one or more length reinforcing materials mounted on the inner surface of the fixed member in a longitudinal direction of the fixed member so as to reinforce the strength of the fixed member; and a horizontal plate disposed between the support member and the fixed member in such a manner as to be coupled to the support member.
A BUILDING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a building system for erecting a building structure. The building system comprises a plurality of precast transportable concrete wall panels; each wall panel comprising a reinforcement structure and a plurality of cast-in connecting inserts, each connecting insert being located at a predetermined position; and a precast transportable concrete floor panel, the floor panel also comprising a reinforcement structure and a plurality of cast-in connecting inserts, each being located at a pre-determined position, the floor panel further comprising a recess along at least a portion of a perimeter of the floor panel. The building system is configured such that when each precast wall panel is positioned in a substantially upright position in the recess of the floor panel, connecting inserts of two adjacent panels align so that the panels can be connected using a plurality of mechanical fasteners.
