A lattice structure comprising a series of connecting rings or half-rings on which a series of orienting elements are secured. The orienting elements being equipped with holes and a slot in which the connecting rings or half-rings are disposed, as well as comprising profiles that are solidly connected using joining elements that extend through holes in the profiles.

An apparatus can include additively manufactured first and second nodes, a tube, and an interconnect connecting the tube to the first and second nodes. An apparatus can include a node having an end portion with inner and outer concentric portions forming an annular gap therebetween, and a tube having an end portion extending into the gap.

A deck system includes a baluster actuator device that moves balusters from an open position to a closed position. The movable balusters are positioned in the open position to at least partially open the baluster gaps between the stationary balusters, and the movable balusters are positioned in the closed position to close the baluster gaps between the stationary balusters.
