MODULAR STRUCTURE SYSTEM
A system and method for a modular structure system is illustrated. The system includes a plurality of posts and beams. The posts are vertically oriented to define a space. The plurality of posts includes a mating aperture. A beam is included to span the distance between the posts. The beam includes a mating stud protruding out from the beam and configured to pass through the mating apertures of the plurality of posts. An anchor is in communication with the plurality of posts to secure each into a desired position. Siding is coupled to the plurality of posts and the beams to restrict access between the plurality of posts. The location of the beams is interchangeable between the plurality of posts so as to adjust the layout of the space without moving the posts.
CONNECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A method for erecting or assembling a frame includes the steps of: forming a joint with at least two frame members placed at an angle to one another, each frame members is a metal tube, no coping nor fittings are used to form the joint; wrapping the joint with a saddle, the saddle is a bent flat metal member with at least one hole overlaying each frame member; and plug welding the saddle to each frame member by filling each hole with weld metal. A frame includes: a joint formed by at least two frame members set at an angle to one another, each frame member is a metal tube; a saddle is wrapped over the joint, the saddle is a flat metal member with at least one hole overlaying each frame member; and a plug weld joining the saddle to each frame member, via weld metal filling the hole.
Adjustable Structures
An adjustable structure (1) comprising a first structural layer (10) defined by a first array of extendable and/or retractable rods or beams (11, 11a, 11b) pivotally connected to each other at their ends and a second structural layer (20) connected to the first structural layer (10) and defined by a second array of extendable and/or retractable rods or beams (21, 21a, 21b) pivotally connected to each other at their ends, wherein at least a portion of the second layer (20) is outside the volume defined by the first structural layer (10) and the extendable and/or retractable rods or beams in the second array are more densely packed than the extendable and/or retractable rods or beams in the first array.
DECK BRACKET
A deck board support bracket includes a drainage channel in a top surface of the bracket and deck boards are secured in an end to end manner with a space between two deck board ends centered over the drainage channel. Water presented on the deck surface at two deck board ends passes therebetween and to one side of a supporting joist. The deck board support bracket can be used with various deck board fastening arrangements and preferably is made of an injection molded plastic material.
Elevating Platform Device
An elevating platform device is to provide with a plurality of interconnected horizontal tubes and vertical tubes and a single-side connector, a dual-side connector and a corner connector used to connect the junction of the horizontal tubes and vertical tubes on a framework of the elevating platform device., thereby enabling the consumers to complete the assembly of the framework of the platform in a manner of DIY.
Modular building units, and methods of constructing and transporting same
A lower connector includes a lower connector hollow body, a pair of lower connector bosses coupled to the lower connector hollow body, and a pair of lower connector arms coupled to the lower connector bosses. A connector assembly includes an upper connector coupled to a lower connector and a gusset plate sandwiched between the upper and lower connectors.
Docking System with Joint Supports
A set of components that can be used to construct a structurally sound dock are disclosed. The components can be extruded and the components are shaped such that interconnected components provide support for the other components thereby alleviating weak points due to welded only joints. A fascia channel provides additional strength by including structures that improve the vertical and horizontal strength of the fascia channel. HDPE plastic inserts and sheaves provide sound dampening for metal to metal contact points. Other components include a corner connector, a post system and a hinge system.
DECK COMPONENT WITH POST SLEEVE AND FLANGES
Deck components comprising a post sleeve and flanges extending away from side walls of the post sleeve are described. The post sleeve has a rectangular cross section. Interior flanges can comprise attachment holes for affixing the interior flanges to box-frame-segments having square-cut edges. Box-frame-segments and box-frame-segment attachments with square-cut edges can abut the exterior surface of a post sleeve side wall. Use of the post sleeve can reduce or eliminate the need to produce beveled joints box-frame-segments and box-frame-segment attachments.
GUSSET PLATE AND COLUMN ASSEMBLY FOR MOMENT RESISTING BI-AXIAL BEAM-TO-COLUMN JOINT CONNECTIONS
A gusset plate assembly for use in connecting at least two beams to a hollow tubular column in a building. The gusset plate assembly can receive said at least two beams in a biaxial orientation of said beams. The gusset plate assembly comprises gusset plates sized for transferring the weights of said at least two beams and their reaction forces and bending moments from the application of severe load conditions acting on the building to the hollow tubular column. At least one of the gusset plates receives a portion of a second of the gusset plates. A joint penetration groove weld joining the first and second gusset plates together allows the gusset plate assembly to be free of welds on its internal corners. A method of assembling a gusset plate assembly is also disclosed.
COLLAPSIBLE STRUCTURES AND METHODS FOR ERECTING COLLAPSIBLE STRUCTURES
A structure is able to be collapsed when tension is not applied to a main tension member. As tension is applied to the main tension member, the tension member aligns and brings tension path components together so as to automatically assemble the tension path components and erect the structure.
