Scale habitable units are disclosed for use in marine environments, such as the open sea, which are inexpensive to assemble and maintain, while providing habitable space.

A scaffold apparatus may have a saddle with a platform and two sides extending above the platform. The saddle may support one or two beams.

A kit for constructing a building may include an intermodal container. The intermodal container may include four exterior walls forming a perimeter of the intermodal container, a floor connected to each of the four exterior walls, and a roof connected to each of the four exterior walls. The four exterior walls, the floor, and the roof collectively define an interior volume of the intermodal container. The kit may also include a plurality of structural building components disposed within the interior volume. When the building is constructed with the structural building components, at least one of the four exterior walls of the intermodal container is repurposed as an interior wall of the building.

The invention provides an apparatus for and method of making and using portable display kiosks. This invention discloses a tower system in which a telescoping tower with a plurality of tower structures is contained within a rigid transportation container in a substantially horizontal position for transportation, may be extended to a height much greater than its contracted length. The tower may be transported horizontal, repositioned to a vertical position and then the individual tower structures extended and secured via spring pins relative to the adjacent tower structure, the erection of the tower sections may be with external equipment such as a boom truck, or utilizing an internal hydraulic cylinder.

A ballast system includes a substantially rectangular base with approximate bottom dimensions of a standard International Organization for Standardization (ISO) freight container; base locking units at each corner of the base to be secured to a shelter with approximate dimensions of a standard International Organization for Standardization (ISO) freight container; and extendable arms extending from the base to the ground.

A structure with a support assembly having an upper surface spaced above a lower surface, a module removably supported by the upper surface of the support assembly, and an access system that is configured to allow a person adjacent the lower surface of the support assembly to move vertically upward adjacent the upper surface of the support assembly. The module at least partially encloses an interior space that is accessible through an opening in the module. The module is not permanently joined to the support assembly, and there is an accessible volume of space positioned below the module. A building sheltering structure is configured to facilitate the shielding of at least one domicile or building into an underground foundation before an emergency environmental condition arises. The foundation includes a cover plate that translates horizontally to occlude the at least one domicile upon retraction into a secure cavity of the foundation by a lift assembly positioned at the bottom of the foundation cavity. Mounted atop the lift assembly, the at least one domicile can be fully retracted into the foundation cavity and completely shielded by the cover plate. The operation of the lift assembly is commanded and powered by a supply system. A processor of the supply system facilitates emergency warnings and panic transmissions to signal for help. Further, the supply system accommodates a plurality of solar panels mounted atop the at least one domicile to keep the system charged for the use in emergency.

A mobile home skirting base comprising: a horizontal surface; and two substantially equal, substantially symmetrical vertical surfaces co-extruded with the horizontal surface forming a channel to insert a mobile home skirting panel wherein the vertical surfaces each having an inwardly oriented retention edge that secure the mobile home skirting panel. The height of the vertical surfaces and the inward orientation of the vertical surfaces' retention edges, along with the other aspects of the invention, allows the mobile home skirting base to provide strong support, stabilization, and protection of the skirting panels.
