Structures for Use in Erecting Multistory Buildings and Methods for Making Such Structures
20220162847 · 2022-05-26 ·

Disclosed are various construction techniques for erecting a multistory building with an elevator shaft. In accordance with the method, upper and lower shaft components are formed at an offsite facility. These shaft components are then joined together to form a segment of the larger elevator shaft. Once constructed, the segment is transported to a jobsite and erected. Once an individual segment is installed, a floor slab can be formed about the segment. Using pre-cast elevator segments simplifies and expedites the construction process. In one embodiment, each segment includes a serrated edge that facilitates a connection between the floor slab and the shaft segment. Rebar and reinforcing dowels can also be used to improve the connection. Associated shaft constructions are also disclosed.

Modular building system and method

Material delivery systems as well as systems and methods relating thereto are disclosed. In an embodiment, the material delivery system includes a tank to hold water therein. In addition, the material delivery system includes a hopper to hold dry ingredients of the extrudable building material therein. Further, the material delivery system includes a mixing unit to receive water from the tank and dry ingredients from the hopper. The mixing unit includes an agitator to mix the water and the dry ingredients together to form the extrudable building material. Still further, the material delivery system includes a controller coupled to the agitator that is to: measure a load imparted to the agitator by the extrudable building material, add additional water to the mixing unit when the load is above a first threshold, and add additional dry ingredients to the mixing unit when the load is below a second threshold.

LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE MODULAR INTEGRATED CONSTRUCTION (MIC) SYSTEM
20220025639 · 2022-01-27 ·

The present invention provides a multi-storey modular building including at least a first and a second lightweight concrete-based prefabricated modules each having at least a beam, a column, and one horizontal structure selected from a ceiling or a floor at least partially attached to two or more of the beams and columns. A connection system includes at least one vertical alignment connector attached to a horizontal load-distributing plate positioned between the first and second lightweight concrete-based prefabricated modules for connecting the first and second lightweight concrete-based prefabricated modules, where a top portion thereof is positioned in a grout accepting cavity in the bottom end of the column of the second lightweight concrete-based prefabricated module and that in the top end of the column of the first lightweight concrete-based prefabricated module. In-situ grout embeds the vertical alignment connector in each grout accepting cavity.

Composite Construction for Secure Compartmentalized Enclosure
20210363746 · 2021-11-25 ·

Disclosed are various secure enclosures and associated composite construction methods. The described enclosures preferably utilize one or more prefabricated concrete walls that are mated to one or more metal panels. The panels include hollow ends that are secured to anchors formed within the prefabricated walls. This connection joins the concrete wall and the metal panel in a secure and tamper proof manner. The disclosed methods allow enclosures to be quickly constructed and easily configured depending upon the particular needs of the facility. The enclosures are cost effective, scalable, and easy to assemble.

Method For Assembling A Modular Building
20230332396 · 2023-10-19 · ·

The method of the invention optimizes logistics of prefabricated modules delivery to a building site. The method of the uses the pre-fabricated sets of the multiple elements prepared at the building site including: the modules, the slabs with apertures for the installation of columns, the foundation with capping, and the columns which are preferably. The columns are fabricated with the internal channels for water runoff. During installation the columns are joined by the diagonal braces. The roofing slab modules are mounted to provide connection with the internal channels in the columns. The utility modules are provided with a control system having the software to allow control of the electrical and water supply systems.

Automated modular construction factory method and system
11794293 · 2023-10-24 ·

A method and system for an automated modular construction factory is presented. A plurality of pre-cast construction panels, a quality control zone, a transportation system, a general stockyard, a sequencing system, an assembly zone, an assembly system, a transit system, a finishing zone, and a plurality of finishing stations are provided. The pre-cast construction panels undergo quality control under the quality control zone and are transported and ordered to the general stockyard through the transportation and sequencing systems. The panels are then assembled into a constructed room in the assembly zone through the assembly system. The constructed room is transported by the transit system to the finishing zone where the constructed room is furnished and completed by the plurality of finishing stations.
