Building unit and building

A building unit constitutes part of a two or more story building. The building unit includes: a first unit that is pre-assembled somewhere other than at a building site and constitutes one of a plurality of floors; a second unit that is pre-assembled somewhere other than at the building site and constitutes a floor above the first unit out of the plurality of floors; and a space path (upper and lower floor air circulation duct that spatially communicates with the first unit and the second unit.

Modular construction connection mechanism

A system for securing modular building units to each other and a method for assembling structures using said method is disclosed. The disclosed system allows for modules to be connected to each other from an external position, without a person having to enter the modules to fasten components internally. The system and method may be used to build structures using prefabricated modules, avoiding significant amounts of onsite labor and drastically reducing the time required to erect structures.

PORTABLE CORE FACILITY FOR A BUILDING

A prefabricated building module constructed at a central location and delivered to a construction site via shipping using the intermodal freight transport system and having cold formed wood bracing walls to resist forces in shear and uplift while providing a continuous load path to the foundation system. The module may include interior walls to section the module into rooms and further comprises mechanical, electrical, utility and plumbing aspects of a building, capable of inspection and certification prior to delivery to the construction site. Once arrived at the construction site the building module is anchored to the building foundation and the remainder of the house is built around the building module.

PREFABRICATED CABIN, METHOD FOR BUILDING CABIN AND SUPPORT LEG OF CABIN
20240125110 · 2024-04-18 · ·

A prefabricated cabin for being transported to an installation site comprises support legs below a cabin box configured for supporting the cabin box on top of them. The support legs are fixed to the cabin box and each comprise a first horizontal metal plate placed below the cabin box and supporting the cabin box on top of it, and a second horizontal metal plate configured for being placed against a supporting base. The second horizontal metal plate is at a distance below the first horizontal metal plate. One or more metal pillars are between the first and second horizontal metal plates, connecting them fixedly to each other.

PREFABRICATED BUILDING MODULE

A prefabricated building module is described. The building module may provide structural stability for a building, including when stacked with like building modules. The building module may provide a service riser for the building. The building module may provide fixtures for the building, including bathroom, kitchen and laundry fixtures. Also described is a building including prefabricated building modules and a method of constructing a building using prefabricated building modules.

Laminated lumber constructed volumetric modular unit for modular building construction

A laminated lumber constructed volumetric modular unit constructed at a modular unit factory and shipped assembled to a modular building project site is disclosed. The laminated lumber constructed volumetric modular unit includes a floor structure and ceiling structure interconnected by opposing side wall structures and opposing end wall structures, a plurality of floor trusses disposed within the floor structure, a plurality of ceiling trusses disposed within the ceiling structure, a plurality of wall studs disposed within the opposing side wall structures and opposing end wall structures, one or more rim joists attached to the ceiling structure, and one or more multiple laminated lumbers attached to the floor structure and extending between the opposing end wall structures for carrying the load of the modular unit.

A method of manufacturing wall elements for buildings, cross laminated timber panels of a specific width and length stocks in a store, and the panels are sawed up transversely to the longitudinal direction to obtain cross laminated timber panels of the same width and smaller length. A plurality of panels are placed onto a conveying track transversely to the direction of running, and indeed such that the panels are flush at the top and bottom and the side edges of consecutive panels contact one another. The panels on the conveying track are connected along the contacting longitudinal sides to form a cross laminated timber apron. The apron is sawed up transversely to the direction of running of the conveying track to obtain cross laminated timber boards of a defined width.
