Provided is a seal for sealing the interface between abutting first and second members, the seal comprising a main body; a channel lobe extending outward from the main body, the channel lobe shaped for nesting in a channel of the first member; a primary sealing lobe extending outward from the side of the main body facing the second member, the primary sealing lobe extending into and contacting an inner surface of the second member; and a secondary sealing lobe extending downward from the main body toward an exterior of the interface, a first face of a distal end of the secondary sealing lobe contacting a front face of the first member, and a second face of the distal end of the secondary sealing member contacting a front face of the second member. The disclosed seal maintains a gas-tight seal and minimizes resisting force when closing the door.
Sterilizing device with pinch actuated cap and housing
Devices and methods for sterilizing the outer and inner surfaces of a working end-site of a medical device such as a catheter hub, luer connector, luer component, needleless access site, and/or access port are discussed. The sterilizing device can include a housing, a sterilizing element including an antipathogenic agent configured for sterilizing the working end-site of a medical device, and a cap hingedly coupled to the housing and configured to hermetically seal the sterilizing element within the housing. One or more features on the cap and housing serve to hermetically seal the cap to the housing prior to use.
System and method for electrical control of bacteria
A system and method for controlling microbial growth on and in medical devices and implants, especially biofilm infections, involves using pulsed electric fields (PEF). To eradicate at least a portion of a biofilm on a medical implant, for example, 1500 volts can be applied through an electrode system, with pulse duration of 50 μs and pulse delivery frequency of 2 Hz. In the clinical setting, systemic microbial therapy can be combined with PEF to achieve a synergistic effect leading to improved eradication of infections.

Auto injector for oxygen reduced packaging
The present invention relates to an auto injector (1) comprising a prefilled liquid medicament container, a hollow auto injector body (2) housing the medicament container. The auto injector body (2) has an elongated part, a first end side (21) and a second end side (22) and at least one through hole (3) arranged between the end sides (21, 22). The through holes (3) allow for flow of gas through the auto injector body (2) when the auto injector body (2) houses the medicament container. The invention further relates to a method comprising inserting the auto injector (1) into the package via an opening in a non-inert environment, and, in a non-inert environment and under atmospheric pressure: replacing the air in the package with inert atmosphere by one or several cycles of removing air and inserting inert gas through the opening, wherein the air and inert gas in part flows through the at least one through hole (3) of the auto injector (1). The method further comprises sealing the opening under vacuum.

Methods and devices for portable sterilization and containment of medical devices
An at-home sterilization and data acquisition and deposition device including a housing having an opening or series of openings for receiving up to six medical devices, a sterilization chamber formed within the housing that is lined with sterilizing radiation reflecting material, and several sources of sterilizing radiation disposed within the sterilization chamber for sufficient emission of radiation to achieve a significant log reduction of any pathogens present on the medical devices, and an RFID scanner and sensor suite configured into the housing that prevents sterilization of non-system components, radiation emission into the environment, and that can pair with a user's mobile device. An individual catheterization system includes an at-home sterilization and data acquisition device, a software-enabled analysis of data acquired through the system, a set of accessories to enable proper lubrication, cleaning, and radiation-based sterilization of medical devices, and a set of RFID-enabled medical devices designed to facilitate sterile emptying of the bladder by providing a tactile interface that prevents direct contact between the individual and the parts of the medical devices that enter the individual's body.
Sanitizing caps for medical connectors
Antiseptic caps that can be used to disinfect and/or protect medical connectors are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the antiseptic cap can include a first chamber configured to be removably attached to the medical connector. Delivery systems for use with medical articles are also disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the delivery system comprises various dispensing systems for antiseptic caps and/or antiseptic cap holder assemblies. In some embodiments, the delivery system can be configured to permit the medical articles to be individually removable from the delivery system.
