Hold down system using hollow bearing members
A building includes a foundation; a stud wall disposed above the foundation; the stud wall including a bottom plate, first and second studs extending from the bottom plate, and a top plate operably attached to the first and second studs; third and fourth studs operably attached to the respective first and second studs, the third and fourth studs including respective bottom ends; a first cross member disposed on the bottom plate, the bottom ends of the third and fourth studs bearing on the first cross member, the first cross member is made of metal; a second stud wall disposed above the first stud wall; and a tie rod having one end operably connected to the foundation, the tie rod extending through the first cross member and operably attached to the second stud wall.
Valley Clip for Valley Truss Connections of a Roof System
A valley clip for a valley truss to deck panel connection of a roof system is disclosed. The valley clip includes a base and a tab. The base includes a plate shape. The base is adapted to fasten to one or more ribs of the deck panel. The tab includes an end connected to the base. The tab is adapted to rotate relative to the base into a vertical position for fastening to a side of a bottom chord of the valley truss.
DROP-IN CEILING WALL SYSTEM
A system and method for building a solid wall with a drop-in ceiling includes a floor track to be secured on a base floor. A support structure of studs is to be secured to the floor track. Cornice rails are to be placed on top of the studs. Splice plates are to connect ends of the cornice rails together. A top cladding is to be installed to at least a portion of the studs at a fixed distance below the top of the studs. The top cladding is to be installed prior to the cornice rails being secured to the top of the studs. Ceiling mounts are to be installed on top of the cladding in a manner that provides equal spacing reveals between the ceiling mounts and the cladding. Splice plates are to connect ends of the ceiling mounts together. A secondary cladding is to be installed to the studs. To complete the wall system, a drop-in ceiling is secured on top of the ceiling mounts.
Quick-assemble construction system and freestanding seating system utilizing same
Exemplary embodiments relate to a quick-assemble construction system that includes various components that can be positioned and interconnected quickly and later adjusted and tightened. The quick-assemble construction system was envisioned specifically for freestanding seating systems that can be quickly installed and removed if needed, although the quick-assemble construction system can be used in a wider range of applications and is not limited to seating systems.
Modular building system
A modular building system, includes a modular building assembly, including a base mounting structure with first and second base angle brackets; a left receiving wall assembly, including a left primary wall assembly, and left front and left rear corner brackets; a right primary wall assembly, and right front and right rear corner brackets; and front and rear wall assemblies; and a platform with legs; such that the modular building assembly is positionable on a top surface of the platform.
JOINT STRUCTURE FOR COLUMN MATERIAL AND COLUMN BASE FITTING
At a joint between a butt end face of a lower end of the column material made of wood and a butt end receiving face of the column base fitting that supports the butt end face, an outer edge of the butt end face extends more outward than an outer edge of the butt end receiving face, and at a corner between the butt end face and a side face of the column material, a water draining function that causes water running along the side face of the column material to drop downward is provided.
Methods for Selecting, Inspecting and Evaluating Brackets and Their Fastening Configurations in Construction
A computer-implemented method for deciding on a bracket connection is provided. The method comprises selecting one of a specific bracket type or a specific configuration of a supported member and a supporting member, identifying, based on the selected bracket type if such is selected, at least one configuration of a supported member and a supporting member associated with the selected bracket type, or, based on the selected specific configuration of a supported member and a supporting member if such is selected, at least one bracket type being associated with the configuration of the supported member and the supporting member, the bracket and the configuration of the supported member and the supporting member together forming a bracket connection, and determining one or more properties of the identified bracket connection.
FORMWORK PANEL
A formwork panel for forming adjacent concrete bodies, wherein the formwork panel is adapted to be compressible on expansion of the concrete bodies. The formwork panel may be substantially planar to be in a plane substantially perpendicular to a travel surface formed by upper surfaces of the concrete bodies. The formwork panel may be extruded and may have at least one internal void to facilitate sacrificial compression of the formwork panel on expansion of the concrete bodies.
A BUILDING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a building system for erecting a building structure. The building system comprises a plurality of precast transportable concrete wall panels; each wall panel comprising a reinforcement structure and a plurality of cast-in connecting inserts, each connecting insert being located at a predetermined position; and a precast transportable concrete floor panel, the floor panel also comprising a reinforcement structure and a plurality of cast-in connecting inserts, each being located at a pre-determined position, the floor panel further comprising a recess along at least a portion of a perimeter of the floor panel. The building system is configured such that when each precast wall panel is positioned in a substantially upright position in the recess of the floor panel, connecting inserts of two adjacent panels align so that the panels can be connected using a plurality of mechanical fasteners.
MULTI-STORY MODULAR HOUSE AND CONNECTION ASSEMBLY THEREOF
The present application belongs to the field of architecture, and specifically provides a multi-story modular house and its connection assembly; the connection assembly includes a connector, a first connection module for connecting with the first box, and a second connection module for connecting with the second box, and the connector has a connection part, a shear resistance part and a calibration part connected in sequence. The connection part is used to connect with the first connection module. The second connection module is equipped with a calibration hole and a grouting chamber. The shear resistance part is a tooth-like structure, and the tooth-like structure is used to connect with the irrigation The grouting materials in the grouting chamber are meshed; the first box and the second box of the multi-story modular house are connected by the above-mentioned connection assembly.
