A framework for modular furniture comprises a plurality of structural members interconnected by brackets. The brackets include at least one tubular socket to receive a respective one of the structural members. The sockets have at least one planar face, and an array of holes on the planar face of the socket to permit connection of an attachment to the bracket to support ancillary components. The array of holes is arranged as two parallel rows spaced apart to define a grid.

Construction and method for constructing same

A construction having generalized and alternative joints, capable of making pillar materials self-stood at in horizontal direction of lower frame materials. Upper and lower frame materials formed by laminating three sawn plates with two or more different plate width in plate thickness direction, and a recessed groove or a protruding stripe of the alternative joints is formed between outer layer plate width of outer layer sawn plates interposing an intermediate layer of laminated layers and an intermediate plate width of intermediate sawn plate interposed as the intermediate layer. The pillar materials are formed by laminating three sawn plates with same length in plate thickness direction, and a protrusion or a recess, which can be fitted closely to the recessed groove or the protruding stripe, are formed at both ends by deviating an intermediate sawn plate in a longitudinal direction for a distance of the difference to outer layer sawn plates.

INTERCONNECTS FOR TEMPORARILY COUPLING MODULAR FRAME MEMBERS
20200308826 · 2020-10-01 ·

An interconnect system for coupling first and second frame members includes female and male interconnect members. The female interconnect is secured to the first frame member and has defined therein a receptacle. The male interconnect member is secured to the second frame member and defines a protrusion configured for selective axial insertion into, and mating engagement with, the receptacle. The receptacle extends axially between a receptacle opening through which the protrusion is axially received and a receptacle rear wall at which the receptacle terminates. The protrusion terminates at a protrusion tip. The receptacle and protrusion are furthermore configured such that at least one of (a) the receptacle and the protrusion are complementarily keyed in order to prevent relative rotational displacement of the male and female interconnect members when they are in mutual mating engagement, and (b) the protrusion tip is magnetically attracted toward the receptacle rear wall.

CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM FOR A BUILDING MODULE
20200224405 · 2020-07-16 ·

The present invention concerns a construction system for a building module, whose main elements are made of plastic material, providing a robust construction in an easy and quick manner. The system includes a set of main beams (1) adapted to be assembled end-to-end to form an open structure in the shape of a 3-dimensional rectangular frame. The system further includes secondary beams (11), adapted to be assembled between parallel and opposite main beams, and flat facade elements (3) insertable against each other between two adjacent parallel beams. Each facade element (3) includes a rectangular flat plate provided with two folded opposite edges (3A) intended to be hooked with adjacent parallel beams. Each main beam has a rectangular cross-section including, on the four sides thereof, a projection (21) parallel to the side and spaced therefrom leaving an opening to receive a folded edge of a flat facade element. Each secondary beam (11) includes, on two opposite faces, at least one projection leaving an opening to receive a folded edge of a flat facade element (3).

STRUCTURAL MODULE TIE

A structural module (1) has a structural frame having structural members forming floor plates (2), wall plates (3), vertical columns (4), braces (7) extending at angles from the columns to the floor plates, and wall studs. The columns and the braces are configured to transfer vertical loads without assistance from the studs. There may be a module-to-module tie (200) affixed to at least one column, and each tie may be affixed to a top surface of a column, to link columns of adjoining modules together in a horizontal plane, and to accommodate misalignment of the modules in the horizontal plane.

Modular assembly shelter kits and methods

In one embodiment, a modular assembly shelter kit is provided for rapid deployment in a remote location. The shelter kit includes headers, footers, upper horizontal beams, lower horizontal beams, roof, floor, and wall panels, and vertical support columns. The horizontal beams have notched hooks which form cross joints when engaged with notched hooks of adjacent horizontal beams. The cross joints can be placed against the headers or footers, and caged into position by prongs of the vertical support columns. The horizontal beams can also include grooves for holding interior and exterior wall panels, and interior ledges for holding roof and floor panels. Unique geometrically designed components deployed military or humanitarian responders with the ability to quickly manufacture and install such shelters in a wide variety of environments.
