Panel for sheathing system and method
The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
EDGE PROTECTION SYSTEM - INTERSECTION CONTINUOUS PERIMETER JOINT LINE
An edge protection system including a first expandable armoured joint to protect a first joint extending in a first direction, a second expandable armoured joint to protect a second joint extending in a second direction and an intersection module at an intersection of the first expandable armoured joint and the second expandable armoured joint, wherein the first expandable armoured joint has a first joint line, the second expandable armoured joint has a second joint line, and wherein the intersection module provides a perimeter joint line such that there is a continuous joint line including the first joint line, the perimeter joint line and the second joint line.
EDGE PROTECTION SYSTEM - JOINT ORIENTATION MARKER
An edge protection system including a first expandable armoured joint to protect a first joint extending in a first direction, a second expandable armoured joint to protect a second joint extending in a second direction and an intersection module at an intersection of the first expandable armoured joint and the second expandable armoured joint, wherein the intersection module has an indicator to enable a user to ensure correct orientation of the intersection module.
APPARATUS FOR SEALING PIPES AND PLUMBING FITTINGS & FIXTURES
An apparatus for sealing a hole or a shape in a surface may be disclosed. According to an exemplary embodiment, a soft material may be provided containing an interior hole, an exterior surface, a top lip, and an outer area. In an exemplary embodiment, a bottom lip may be further incorporated. In another exemplary embodiment, a rough surface may be imprinted onto the pipe seal apparatus. The rough surface may be imprinted into the interior portion of the body and the exterior portion of the body and the top lip, or both. An adhesive pipe sealant may be used along the rough surface. The rough surface may have a higher overall surface area for the adhesive to bond to, creating a stronger bond and preventing delamination.
Method and apparatus for sealing grout space
An apparatus and method for sealing a grout space provided between a backing wall and a veneer layer. The grout space sealing apparatus includes a deflector that is installed at an intersection of a backing wall and a horizontal surface and a sealing member that is positionable over the deflector and extends onto the backing wall above the deflector and/or across the horizontal surface in front of the deflector. The grout space sealing apparatus causes water that has permeated the exterior veneer to run down an exterior surface of the sealing member. The water is directed along the exterior surface of the sealing member away from the backing wall and towards weep holes provided in the veneer.
SEALING TAPE FOR SEALING CONSTRUCTION JOINTS
A sealing strip is prefabricated in the form of a sealing strip roll having a foam support which extends in a specified longitudinal direction, a width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and a thickness direction, wherein the foam support has a first primary surface defined by the longitudinal direction and the width direction and a second primary surface defined by the longitudinal direction and the width direction, the second primary surface lying opposite the first primary surface, and the foam support additionally has a first secondary surface defined by the longitudinal direction and the thickness direction and a second secondary surface defined by the longitudinal direction and the thickness direction. At least one secondary surface is coated with a sealing compound and/or at least one secondary surface is heat-treated.
CURTAIN WALL AND DRAINAGE CAVITY FOR CURTAIN WALL UNIT
An end seal member, which includes a contacting surface including a drainage cavity along the contacting surface. The end seal member also includes a seal material body including a central body protrusion projecting in a horizontal direction substantially orthogonal to the seal material body from an opposite face of the contacting surface. The end seal member also includes a first and second extending elements extending upward from the seal material body and a reinforcing metal plate within the seal material body. The contacting surface is substantially flat.
Structure-lining apparatus with adjustable width and tool for same
A structure-lining apparatus for lining one or more surfaces of a structure formed from curable material cast in a form. The apparatus comprises a plurality of panels. The panels are connected at their respective edges in an edge-to-edge connection to provide a structure-lining surface. A plurality of anchoring components project from the panels into the liquid material during fabrication of the structure. The anchoring components each comprise one or more anchoring features which are encased in the material as the material solidifies to thereby bond the anchoring components to the structure. The plurality of anchoring components comprises one or more connector-type anchoring components for connecting to corresponding connector-type anchoring components on adjacent edges of a corresponding edge-adjacent panel to connect the edge-adjacent panels in an edge-adjacent relationship. The apparatus comprises one or more breakaway components on at least one of the plurality of panels.
ROOM TEMPERATURE VULCANISABLE SILICONE COMPOSITIONS
A silicone elastomer composition which is generally storage stable, and cures to an elastomeric body, comprising; (i) an organopolysiloxane polymer having at least two hydroxyl or hydrolysable groups; (ii) a siloxane and/or silane cross-linker having at least three groups per molecule which are reactable with the hydroxyl or hydrolysable groups in the organopolysiloxane polymer (i); (iii) a solid organosilicate resin which is substantially unreactive with components (i) and (ii) and comprising R.sub.3.sup.2SiO.sub.1/2 and SiO.sub.4/2 siloxane units, wherein the molar ratio of the R.sub.3.sup.2SiO.sub.1/2 siloxane units to SiO.sub.4/2 siloxane units is from 0.5:1 to 1.2:1, and R.sup.2 is selected from hydrocarbon groups; and optionally (iv) a suitable condensation cure catalyst. The solid organosilicate resin (iii) is generally utilised to create a low modulus room temperature vulcanisable (RTV) silicone composition which when cured may be used as a coating, an adhesive or a sealant having high movement capability.
