STRUCTURAL BARRIER AND RELATED METHOD OF USE
An elongated structural barrier is provided including a base, a first panel extending upward from the base, a first sealer wall extending downward and transversely to the base, a second panel joined with the first panel and extending upwardly, a lower wedge extending upward from the base adjacent the first sealer wall, and a core compartment bounded by the lower wedge and the panels, with an open face defined above the lower wedge and offering a view into the core compartment. The lower wedge can include a flange to produce a first cavity of the compartment, in which an intumescent core can be positioned and configured to expand into a second cavity of the compartment when it swells. A second flange can oppose the first flange to further secure the core in the first cavity, and can form a bloom gap therebetween. A related method of use also is provided.
PANEL FOR SHEATHING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.

Air and water barrier articles
There are provided rolls comprising an air and water barrier article having opposing first and second major surfaces, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least the first major surface of the article, and a liner having a first major surface that contacts the opposing second major surface of the article, and at least two adhesion modifying zones disposed between the second major surface of the article and the first major surface of the liner, wherein both of a first and second adhesion modifying zones contact the first major surface of the liner, and wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll. There are also provided films made using these air and water barrier articles and building envelopes made using such films.
System and method for modular construction
A building module for use in construction of a building comprising a deck oriented in a horizontal plane and a plurality of hollow structural members extending downwardly from around a periphery of the deck. A method of constructing a building comprising placing a plurality of prefabricated modules according to a floor plan to form a story of the building, pouring concrete into the hollow structural members of the plurality of modules to form structural columns, pouring concrete onto the decks of the plurality of prefabricated modules for form structural slabs, and allowing the structural columns and structural slabs to set to complete the story of the building. Embodiments include a plurality of techniques for sealing adjacent prefabricated modules and for installing a balcony on the prefabricated modules.
Durable joint seal system with flexibly attached cover plate and rib
A system which creates a durable seal between adjacent horizontal panels, including those that may be curved or subject to temperature expansion and contraction or mechanical shear. The durable seal system incorporates a plurality of ribs, a flexible member between the cover plate and the ribs and may incorporate a load transfer plate to provide support to the rib from below, and/or cores of differing compressibilities.
Method of manufacturing a foil tape and foil tape
The invention relates to a foil tape (10) for sealing joints between structural elements (30, 31) which are joined to one another, for example in house-building between masonry and a door or window jamb, wherein the foil tape (10) has a functional membrane (1), a textile (4) joined, preferably all-over, to the functional membrane (1) on a top side or an underside, and at least in certain areas an adhesive layer (2) applied in certain areas to that side of the membrane (1) which is averted from the textile (4), wherein the foil tape (10) is folded to produce a folded body (20), so that sections of the textile (4) lie on top of one another at least in certain areas, the sections of the textile (4) lying on top of one another being welded to one another partially and in particular in a punctiform pattern by supplying energy to the folded body (20).

Structural Attachment Sealing System
A mounting device including a base having an open bottom, a longitudinal axis, and a linear guide on the base. The linear guide guides support hardware in linear movement along the longitudinal axis. An internal cavity is under the base for containing a sealant against and in cooperation with a roof when the mounting device is secured to the roof. An opening is though the base is for receiving a fastener when the mounting device is secured to the roof. The opening is in communication with the internal cavity. The linear guide extends beyond the internal cavity.
SLAB JOINT LEAKAGE-PROOF STRUCTURE, PREFABRICATED ROOF PANEL, AND PREFABRICATED ROOF PANEL SYSTEM
The present application relates to the technical field of architectural engineering. Disclosed are a slab joint leakage-proof structure of a prefabricated roof panel, a prefabricated roof panel and a prefabricated roof panel system. The slab joint leakage-proof structure comprises a first leakage-proof layer. The first leakage-proof layer comprises two flexible structures which abut against each other and are arranged at the joint of a main rib on the long side of the roof panel and a main rib on the long side of an adjacent roof panel. Either of the flexible structures comprises a main body portion sealably attached to the main rib, and at least one protruding portion which is fixedly disposed on the main body portion, protrudes and extends into the joint, and can tightly abut against the other flexible structure. The protruding portions of the two flexible structures can enclose an air cavity layer sealably isolated from the outside. The air pressure of the air cavity layer is higher than that of the outside for preventing liquid on the bottom end of the joint from permeating into the air cavity layer and entering a room. The slab joint leakage-proof structure has good waterproof performance. The flexible structures are sealably connected to the main ribs, and are not easy to fall off, and the problem that the waterproof performance is poor due to the fact that a mortar is easy to fall off in an existing waterproof mode of filling the mortar is solved.
