An improved steel stud wall panel which includes a diagonal member able to be placed under tension during installation. The diagonal tension imparts rigidity to the wall panel, preventing warp.

BUILDING RAIL SYSTEM
20170306620 · 2017-10-26 ·

A building rail system. The system includes large and small building rails capable of forming flush connections at varied angles. The flush connection of the rails eliminates an extra layer of space that would otherwise exist if the rails had to be offset to form a connection.

Triangular stud shaft wall system

A shaft wall assembly system including triangular shaped steel studs with one or more layers of wall board secured to one side of the triangular shaped steel studs. The triangular steel studs preferably rest in a notched floor runner and a notched ceiling runner. The one or more layers of wall board are then directly attached to a flat side of the triangular stud with properly sized steel screws. This system will be useful as a shaft wall system or in locations where attachment of wall board to both sides of a wall system is not feasible.

BUILDING COMPONENT

A building component (1) for attachment to an uneven surface (32) such that a gap (34) exists at one or more locations between the building component (1) and the uneven surface (32), the building component (1) including mounting means (10) located at one or more positions along the building component (1), the mounting means (10) having a portion (20) adapted to be located outside the plane of the building component (1) and between the building component (1) and the uneven surface (32), wherein fastening means attaches the mounting means (10) to the uneven surface (32) to enable the building component (1) to remain substantially straight when attached to the uneven surface (32).

Bearing wall and wall surface member for bearing wall

A bearing wall includes a pair of vertical members that are joined to upper and lower horizontal members of a building so as to be spaced apart in a horizontal direction; and a wall surface member that includes a first joint portions joined to one of the vertical members, that includes a second joint portions joined to another of the vertical members, and that includes circular-shaped opening portions that are spaced apart in an up-down direction between the pair of vertical members so as to be disposed in a single column. A separation distance between a center of one opening portion and a center of an opening portion that is adjacent to the one opening portion in the up-down direction is shorter than a horizontal separation distance between the first joint portions and the second joint portions.
