The connector (104) comprises a moveable portion (128) that is moveable from a closed position to an open position. In the closed position, one or more sidewalls of the connector (104) define a cavity (144) for receipt of cementitious material. The cavity (144) of the connector (104) is located with respect to cavities (110) of the first (102a) and second (102b) formwork components. In the open position, access is provided to the cavity (144) of the connector (104).

Shuttering framework for insulated sandwich walls
10689843 · 2020-06-23 ·

Systems and methods for creating insulated sandwich walls with a prefabricated framework are provided. An inner strongback faces an outer strongback. Outer and inner support members are located between the strongbacks. The strongbacks and support members extend vertically from a base. Material for an outer wall, such as concrete, is deposited between the outer strongback and outer support member. Material for an inner wall is deposited between the inner strongback and inner support member. An insulating material is deposited between the outer and inner support members providing longitudinal spacing for the framework.

A panel (6) is disclosed for use in construction. The panel (6) comprises opposing surfaces (6A, 6B) that extend between first and second opposite ends (7A, 7B). The panel (6) also comprises a plurality of parallel (e.g. sawtooth) ridges (7). The ridges (7) are provided on at least one of the opposing surfaces (6A and/or 6B). The ridges (7) extend along and adjacent to a first of the opposite ends (7A or 7B) of the panel for at least a part length thereof. The ridges (7) are arranged to engage with and move past corresponding ridges of an adjacent panel (6) when the panels move relative to each other in opposite directions. The ridges (7) are further arranged so as to interfere with the ridges of the adjacent panel to resist relative movement in a reverse of the opposite direction.

Wall with decorative facing

Disclosed is an economical and effective way of producing a double sided wall using facing panels having a face surface and a back surface with a retaining structure. The facing panels are stacked in a back-to-back arrangement into a pair of first and second wall components connected by separate articulated connectors. The articulated connectors each have a first base connector that fits into a respective retaining groove in the first wall component and a second base connector that fits into a respective retaining groove of the second wall component. The first and second base connectors are connected to each other by a link that forms a first pivot joint at the first base connector and a second pivot joint at the second base connector.

Liquid and gas-impermeable connections for panels of stay-in-place form-work systems

A stay-in-place form comprises a plurality of elongated panels connectable to one another in edge-to-edge relationship. The plurality of panels comprises first and second panels connectable to one another in edge-adjacent relationship by a connection which comprises a contact joint. The first panel comprise a longitudinally extending first seal-retaining projection shaped to project outwardly from the outer surface of the first panel at a location spaced apart from a first outer-surface transverse edge of the first panel in a first transverse direction. The second panel comprising a longitudinally extending second seal-retaining projection shaped to project outwardly from the outer surface of the second panel at a location spaced apart from a second outer-surface transverse edge of the second panel in a second transverse direction opposite the first transverse direction.
