Concrete shearwall and assemblies thereof, and related methods
A shearwall assembly includes a first concrete and a second concrete column and a protrusion extending from a connection end of the respective concrete columns. Each protrusion has two side surfaces and a center surface. A pair of horizontal slab panels are positioned between the respective connecting ends of the first and second concrete columns and abutting the two side surfaces of the respective protrusions. A horizontal reinforcement extends from the center surface of the respective protrusions and between the respective trusses. Concrete is poured at a volume formed between the pair of horizontal slab panels and the first and second concrete columns.
Floor Dowel Sleeve with Integral Spacing Chambers
A floor dowel sleeve has a body portion with a top wall, a bottom wall, two side walls, and an end wall that together to surround an interior cavity. The interior cavity is configured to receive a dowel plate at an opening in the body portion opposite the end wall. Spacing elements are disposed at each of the two side walls and are configured to interface with opposing edges of the dowel plate to provide a space between the dowel plate and interior surfaces of the two side walls. The spacing elements each have a pair of legs that integrally protrude from the side wall into the interior cavity and interconnect to form a spacing chamber. The spacing elements are each configured to flex into the spacing chamber upon lateral horizontal movement of the dowel plate within the interior cavity.
LIFTING AND LEVELING INSERT FOR A PRECAST CONCRETE SLAB
An insert for lifting and leveling a precast concrete slab is provided. The insert includes a sleeve that extends through the concrete slab and has two distinct threaded portions on an inner surface of the sleeve. This configuration allows a lifting bolt to be positioned into an upper end of the sleeve to lift the concrete slab, and a different-sized leveling bolt to be positioned in the sleeve to selectively elevate or raise part of the concrete slab relative to a ground surface.
Grid deck with shear-resisting plates
The present invention relates to a grid deck with shear-resisting plates and the assembly of the grid decks. The shear-resisting plates are pre-cast in the grid deck and protrude from the side surfaces thereof. When the grid decks with shear-resisting plates are assembled, they are laid on the beams with the shear-resisting plates contacting the beams and without the grid decks contacting the beams.

METHOD FOR FORMING A PLURALITY OF BEAMS CONNECTED IN SERIES
A method for forming a plurality of beams connected in series is provided. The method comprises the following steps: providing a plurality of columns; providing a plurality of pre-assembled bar combinations, wherein each of the plurality of pre-assembled bar combinations comprises a plurality of lower main bars and a plurality of lower stirrups, and at least one end of the plurality of the lower main bars has connection sections extending beyond the plurality of lower stirrups; hoisting each of the bar combinations so that the two ends thereof are placed on top of two adjacent columns of the plurality of columns and the connection sections of the plurality of lower main bars of adjacent plurality of bar combinations overlap; and connecting the plurality of connection sections of the plurality of lower main bars of the adjacent plurality of bar combinations.
BUILDING FRAME STRUCTURE HAVING EDGE BEAM AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a building frame structure having an edge beam and a construction method thereof. The frame structure includes: a main frame structure and a cantilever beam provided outside of the main frame structure, a beam supported by the cantilever beam, and an outer floor disposed between the main frame structure and the edge beam. The edge beam and the cantilever beam are preforms reserved with exposed reinforcing bars, respectively. The edge beam is provided thereon with a vertical sideboard and a temporary safety rail. The cantilever beam is a beam-shell structure provided with an inner recess. The outer floor is a laminated plate, a lower part of which is a preformed plate. The preformed plate, the edge beam, and the cantilever beam are connected to each other by concrete cast in situ at respective top portions thereof.
CONCRETE BUILDING ELEMENTS AND ASSEMBLIES THEREOF, AND RELATED METHODS
An assembly of concrete structural elements includes a first and a second concrete lower column, and a first and a second column capitals are supported on respective upper ends of the respective first and second lower columns. At least one inverted beam is extended between the first and second column capitals. At least one lower flat surface of the inverted beam is positioned on respective edges of the first and second column capitals.
MODULAR BUILDINGS AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
A method of assembling a modular building includes affixing a plurality of horizontally-extending metal bands to a shear core. The metal bands are spaced vertically from one another along a vertical axis defined by the shear core. Modular units are coupled to the shear core via the metal bands.
