SUPPORT MEMBER FOR CEILING SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to support members for ceiling systems, such as those that can be formed into an interconnected grid to be suspended from a ceiling and support ceiling tiles. One aspect of the disclosure is a linearly-extending support member for a ceiling tile. The support member has a cross-sectional shape that includes a substantially vertical central web with a top end and a bottom end; at least one flange extending substantially horizontally from the bottom end of the web, the flange having an upper surface and a lower surface; and a bulb extending from the top end of the web, the bulb having a first side and a second side with a cavity therebetween, the bulb having an upper portion and a lower portion adjacent the top end of the web, wherein the entire lower portion of the bulb is narrower than the upper portion of the bulb and wider than the central web, the bulb comprising a series of spaced apertures formed therein through both the first side and the second side of the bulb, each aperture being disposed at least partially in the lower portion of the bulb, each aperture having an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the upper portion of the aperture is rounded.
Suspended ceiling arrangements
A suspended ceiling arrangement for cleanroom applications includes an elongate support member and a ceiling member. The support member includes a base wall, a side wall, a flange part and a tab which together define a longitudinally extending support channel. The ceiling member includes a base wall, a side wall, a flange part and a lip part. The lip part defines a gap therein. In use, in an installed condition, the ceiling member flange part locates on top of the support member flange part, the lip part locates in the support channel and the tab locates in the gap.
Multifunctional water-borne high solids tile paint
Described herein is a coated building panel that comprises a side surface that is textured and exhibits a white and/or color. The building panel comprising an upper surface opposite a lower surface and a side surface extending between the upper surface and the lower surface, a coating applied to the side surface, the coating comprising an inorganic particle having a disk shape and an ionic dispersant comprising an ionic group that are present on a repeating unit and the ionic dispersant comprising at least two of the repeating units.
SEALED AND SEALABLE SCALABLE LIGHTING SYSTEMS INCORPORATING FLEXIBLE LIGHT SHEETS AND RELATED METHODS
In accordance with certain embodiments, systems of lighting components feature multiple illumination panels each having a backing support and, secured thereto, multiple illumination elements. The illumination elements have shapes defined by arrangements of illumination unit cells may be assembled to illuminate an arbitrary two-dimensional area.
Partially lighted t-bar
The partially lit T-bar includes a spine with a rest shelf at a lower portion thereof. The rest shelf supports adjacent ceiling tiles. The under surface of the rest shelf includes a lighting module on a portion and a plain unlit undersurface on other portions. Additional T-bars which are shorter, and typically fully lit or fully unlit and half the length of the partially lit T-bar are also provided which can attach at ends or near a midpoint of the partially lit T-bar and typically perpendicularly thereto. A great variety of lighting patterns in a dropped ceiling is thus facilitated. Each of the T-bars preferably also includes a heat sink on an upper portion of the spine and also preferably a lower heat sink on an upper portion of the rest shelf. Heat associated with the light element of the T-bar can thus be drawn away from a space below the ceiling.
T-bar lighting assembly
A lighting assembly is provided that includes a light fixture in combination with a support grid such as a drop ceiling t-bar. The light fixture can be configured to use a t-bar as the main form of support. The light fixture can be push-fit onto a t-bar or use a clip to join two or more portions of the light fixture to an installed t-bar. Once attached to the T-bar, the light fixture itself can provides support for a ceiling tile. Various embodiments are provided which achieve a variety of light distributions useful in typical illumination applications. Both recessed and suspended fixture types are achieved in various embodiments which are particularly well suited for LED lighting.
CEILING PANEL FOR SUSPENDED CEILINGS
A ceiling panel for use in a gridwork of a suspended ceiling is provided. The ceiling panel includes a layer of foam insulation. A first facing sheet is positioned on a lower major face of the layer of foam insulation and a second facing sheet is positioned on an upper major face of the layer of foam insulation. A surface covering layer is positioned on an exposed face of the first facing sheet.
Acoustic Ceiling Panel, Method of Manufacture and Acoustic Ceiling system
The present disclosure relates generally to acoustic panels, for example, suitable for use in a ceiling to control sound. The present disclosure relates more particularly to an acoustic ceiling panel including an acoustic substrate formed of a porous material having an air flow resistivity of at least 300 kPa*s/m.sup.2. The acoustic substrate includes an upper face and a lower face with a pattern of perforations formed therein, where the pattern of perforations covers at least 6% of the area of the lower face. The acoustic ceiling panel also includes a backing layer disposed over the upper face of the acoustic substrate and a veil disposed over the lower face.
HIGH SOLIDS EDGE COATINGS FOR BUILDING PANELS
Described herein is a coating composition suitable for application to a building panel. The coating composition comprises inorganic pigment, liquid carrier, and a humectant comprising a first ester-containing compound. The liquid carrier may be present in an amount ranging from about 10 wt. % to about 30 wt. % based on the total weight of the coating composition. Described herein are also building panels coated with the coating composition and methods of their production.
END CAP FOR CEILING PANEL AND CEILING SYSTEM INCOPORATING THE SAME
An end cap for a ceiling panel of a ceiling system. The end cap includes a face plate having an inner surface, a bottom edge, a top edge, a first side edge, and a second side edge. A first insertion plate extends from the inner surface of the face plate at the top edge of the face plate. A second insertion plate extends from the inner surface of the face plate at the bottom edge of the face plate. A concealment portion extends from the inner surface of the face plate along the first and second side edges of the face plate. The concealment portion may include an upper section positioned above the first insertion plate and spaced from the first insertion plate by a first gap and a lower section of positioned below the second insertion plate and spaced from the second insertion plate by a second gap.
